Death Stranding 2 and Computer Issues

Been playing Death Stranding 2 for 92 hours (and counting) and I've been having computer issues with a now ten year old desktop, so that's why I haven't submitted a review in the past few weeks.

I'll probably submit a review of something else by the end of the week, though. Probably. Maybe.

	overdrive - August 07, 2025 (01:43 PM) My reasoning for my temporary hiatus: Last month, PS Plus announced one of the games being removed was Jedi Survivor. I wanted to play it. So I dropped everything else temporarily to try to get through it during a month I also have various work/fun commitments. Gonna be a coin flip to see if I do get to the finish line or have to wind up buying the damn thing to finish it off. But nothing else is getting done until this thing is resolved!
	dementedhut - August 10, 2025 (09:23 PM) The funny thing is that I've actually dreaded playing DS2 because of how much of a time sink DS1 became for me. I knew the moment I would begin the game that I was going to dedicate an entire month playing it. It's now nearly a month and a half, and the scary thing is that I don't think I'm close to the end of the game. Granted, this is on me for taking my sweet time and I don't regret it. Is it an amazing game? I dunno about that. Is it fun? For me, at least. Writing a review for this is going to be interesting once I beat it and gather my thoughts...

	dementedhut - August 13, 2025 (05:06 PM) Oh trust me, I know; after completing MGSV: PP and DS1, I've come to expect Kojima to deliver very lengthy (gameplay-wise) products with his latest offerings. It just that the "Intermission" card was the most shocking thing I've experienced in DS2, haha.
	overdrive - August 23, 2025 (10:40 AM) And I did finish Jedi Survivor before it left PS Plus. Didn't do a lot of the optional stuff, but did beat the game. Nearly had a rage-induced stroke or something with the Vader fight. Where you take control of a different character who only accesses one of the five battle styles you can utilize and only has four health refills while my guy had eight at that point. Against an enemy who hits like a truck.
	dementedhut - September 04, 2025 (02:32 AM) Well I'm currently at 145 hours as of this writing. I feel like the game is trolling me at this point: every time I think I'm near the end, the game does something to derail the main plot and now I'm in some kind of filler arc.
