A few reasons why |
Just wanted to make a small, quick post about it in case anyone is confused.
Quick, short reasons why:
-I've had the name since the very, VERY early 00s on various sites, message boards, and online gaming accounts, but I just got tired of using it. Also, from my experience, it's very easy for people to make fun of the name when they see it for the first time. ("Hey, it's Pizza Hut!" "Oh, hey dickbutt!")
-Ever since I let my domain name (that I created and purchased) expire and go dormant, a business company has since purchased it for... well, their business. I do not wish to be associated with their business, despite how I likely held the name longer than them. You don't really think how important a "username" truly is until someone or company decides to take it and use it for their stuff, making you feel like a byproduct.... Word of advice: if you have a specific name and have a domain name to go with it, hold on to it and keep renewing it, even if you no longer have a use for it.
And that's it.

honestgamer - January 12, 2022 (07:23 AM) People will jump on the opportunity to grab any name that has a history attached, in the event you let it lapse for just a moment. I learned that lesson a long time ago. Sorry you had to learn it the hard way also. At least your demented looking onion avatar was ahead of the curve! |
