Despite the fact that he sprung it on me at the very last possible second, in passing no less, I decided to babysit his son for "a few hours". I ended up watching him for 8 hours while he did whatever the hell he did. He stopped by once for five minutes, in which he got upset at me for feeling tired because I "didn't do anything today". This coming from a person that works at a job for four hours every day (despite now having a family to take care of) then moans about how hard it is.
God, I really hate my brother sometimes.

zippdementia - March 04, 2010 (06:05 PM) Not knowing anything about your brother, I can't really comment fairly on this, but I do sympathize with people who have to pick up the slack for lackluster parents. People have kids too young these days, without being fully aware of the commitment. |

darketernal - March 05, 2010 (06:27 AM) Get used to it. I watch my nephews two or three times a week for three-four hours every time. Part of the job of being family if you don't have other obligations(no, meeting with your friends/girlfriend or playing games is not apparently good enough of an excuse). |

dementedhut - March 05, 2010 (07:21 AM) But the thing is he has time to watch his kid thanks to his four hour a day job, but he just wants to do other things. I'd say he spends 1 or 2 actual hours (not straight hours, too) spending quality time with him. I don't mind watching him, I just don't think it's right that I'm looking after his son more than he is. |
