lots of news posted on Gamespot but nothing worth discussion....just a few DLCs coming for Dragon Age and Mafia II and something abt the game Shank.....Capcom gets a new CEO and the best news is that a SAW II game is being developed by Konami......shouldnt Konami focus on their other horror series....something that goes by the name of SILENT HILL????????

No. No they really shouldn't. And if you'd played the last few Silent Hill attempts you'd know why.

thats the point.....they need to take lessons from Capcom and focus on making Silent Hill THE horror game that people should be talking about for like the next year or so like they did for Resident Evil 4......and not go about making half-baked, nonsense games that try to cash in on a movie's success....Konami has enough talent to make it on their own and not rely on a movie to sell games.....

I'd actually prefer they get their hands on some original IP. They've already proven they don't know what to do with the Silent Hill license, and movie licensed games are synonymous with disappointment. So, while I agree they should take notes from...

...wait, Capcom? RE4 wasn't a horror game, it was a zombie game. The scary bit was the monsters trying to eat your face. Silent Hill was scary because it got inside your head and moved the furniture around. I'd love to see another game that does psychological horror right, but Resident Evil it is not.

Anyway, the point of this rambly post is that the game needs both movie licenses and endless sequels in fewer quantities. Fresh IP is what is needed.

Not to mention that RE4 and RE5 aren't scary in the slightest.

correction: Fresh HORROR IP

No need for correction, that's exactly what I was saying.

*fingers crossed* for SAW II the game then..... if it can be counted as an original IP......
