again a slow week of releases as far as games are concerned......on the hardware side the $200 4 GB model of the Xbox 360 S arrives in stores this week....and a lot of people might be surprised but im going to get this one if i go for a new console....im not much into downloading demos, Arcade games etc so i think 4 GB will be enough for me.....

True - August 01, 2010 (10:44 PM) I'm not quite sure how the XBox works, and what requirements it has--if any--in regards to game data but I know I probably used 4 GB in my first week on the PS3. |

bluberry - August 02, 2010 (12:14 AM) well, there are no games with mandatory installs on the 360. so if you don't buy a ton of XBLA games you can do just fine. save data won't be a problem, I had the smallest size memory card for a while since my dad and roommate had 360s but I never even filled it. |

blood-omen - August 02, 2010 (12:21 AM) it requires some memory as System Memory and on the rest u can save music, game saves etc.....but i wont be saving anything on it except for game saves so 4 GB will be enuff for me..... |

Genj - August 02, 2010 (09:07 AM) I had an Arcade with 1GB or something of internal flash memory for 6 months and didn't come close to filling it with save data. I got a 120 GB harddrive as a gift later and mostly use it to install games. |

JANUS2 - August 02, 2010 (09:37 AM) The Xbox 360 S is pretty good. It's really really quiet and wireless networking in the box is much better than having that stupid network adapter. It gets super hot, but I think that's a good thing (better that it's hot on the outside than on the inside, right?) The design has grown on me, too. |

JANUS2 - August 03, 2010 (05:26 AM) It does get very very hot. But as long as you keep it well ventilated I don't think there will be a problem (i.e. stand it vertically in an open space rather than putting it in one of those box shaped TV units). I've read on the internet that the reason it get hotter is because the fan is better at blowing OUT hot air. So this is a good thing. I don't know how true this is. I do know that the console doesn't have the red rings issue, or at least is supposed not to. A warning message lets you know when the 360 is getting too hot. |

JANUS2 - August 03, 2010 (06:14 AM) I've never had a problem standing it vertically but I always install games to the hard drive. |
