Hey, that's a pretty good review. Informative without being over bearing or over long. I came away feeling like I knew what the game was about and how it would play.

I don't like this paragraph:

While racing modes in Split/Second are not what sets it apart from other racers out there, it is in fact power plays that do. Power plays are events that you can trigger during a race that more often than not results in something explosive happening on the track. You have a meter that fills up as you perform various stunts while racing such as drifting, drafting, etc. Once the meter fills up to a certain point you can trigger a power play at specific locations along the track which could result in cars parked on the side exploding, a gigantic crane sliding across the road, a helicopter dropping explosive barrels, shortcuts opening or even have an airplane come tumbling down on the race course. The objective of triggering a power play is to wipe out your opponent which can be an extremely satisfying experience.

It's just that you're describing here what is probably the most interesting piece of the game and you're doing so in very bland terms. This is a great place to go crazy and get into some story-telling. Try to stay away from describing the power plays technically and get into describing the feel of them. Make the player feel the excitement of barreling down a racetrack at 120 mph when a crane suddenly slides into their path. Describe the quick fingers needed to dodge that shit and the crazy maneuver that keeps you in the race.

It would be a nice push right there in the middle of the review for something a little more passionate.

thanx for the feedback zip....but i dont know i kinda like being bland sometimes and describe the technical side rather than the passionate side of the feature so that gamers know what to expect from that particular feature......still i liked what you said and i think im gonna try and write in the style that u recommended......

thanks again!!!!!

Yeah, it's just a suggestion. I just felt that you had an opportunity to go nuts there and I hate to throw those opportunities away, myself.
