if all is fair in love and war, how far wud u go?will u kill someone for love and spare a life in war? if yes then what is love and what is war?but then again isnt love like war: easy to start, hard to win and impossible to forget?so when i say 'i love u' do i really mean i am at war with u?

Love and war are abstract human concepts, coping mechanisms developed since the dawn of self-awareness to help the mind better reconcile its tendencies for attachment, control and power. Both relate back to the root need of survival, so no doubt some parallels can be drawn, but like anything abstract its definition is to each his own.

The only thing love and war share in common is their immense capacity to cause great pain to all participants involved. Those who become jaded about the pessimisms of life do not believe that fairness in either truly exists. Why humans love (or fight) at all is a mystery to me but one that cannot be escaped.

Eh. I may delete that post since it's really too depressing, and I tend to write those when feeling depressed. My philosophical outlook tends to change depending on my mood.

Anyway, regardless about how I'm feeling, I doubt I could kill anyone for any reason. In the case of love, I certainly coldn't kill someone if I were killiing out of jealousy. If, on the other hand, I had to kill someone in order to save the person I love, well... I don't know what I'd do. I'm incedibly passive by nature (that is, I doubt I could kill someone, though I wouldn't hesitate to defend myself if necessary), so I can't say whether I could actually do it, even if the person I loved meant the whole world to me. It's really something that depends on the situation, I guess, and also something that can only truly be tested if you're actually faced with it. Hopefully such an occurrence will never, ever happen, to anyone.
