Sorry, but I haven't yet shared the information about myself that would typically display here. Check back later to see if that changes, or if I instead choose to remain an enigma.

God of War
September 05, 2006

I found God of War at a pawn shop near my school for $7. The game is good, but it isn't nearly as great as everyone says it is. It feels like the developers just combined Devil May Cry, Baldur's Gate, and Greek myth into one game. A solid 7/10.

I don't really look forward to a lot of games, but I was looking forward to Half-Life 2: Episode 2 a lot. Now, there are rumors that it's going to be delayed until the first quarter of 2007, instead of coming out at the end of this year. That's annoying and disappointing. I figured that, since the game is going to use the same engine as HL2: E1, they already know where the story is going, and they don't really need to develop anything new, that the game would actually come out on time. Guess not. Hopefully SiN: Episode 2 will come out on time.

I bought more games.

- Tony Hawk 3: I never beat this Tony Hawk. I got the GameCube version for Christmas. Bad move. The GameCube's kidney shaped buttons and awful trigger/shoulder things don't work well for Hawks.
- Tony Hawk 4: Eh, it was $2.99 and completed the collection.
- Extermination: A game produced by Sony that sucks! What a surprise!
- Turok Evolution: Seriously, it was a dollar. I know it's awful, but it was an FPS for a dollar. I can't pass that up.
- World Poker Tour: Yep, another poker game.
- 007 - Agent Under Fire: It isn't good, but the multiplayer is fun. Q-Claw rocks.

One thing I loved about the release of the PS2/Xbox/GameCube was how cheap it made Dreamcast and PS1 games. One thing I'm loving about the release of the PS3/360/Wii is how cheap it has made Xbox and PS2 games. I've picked up a bunch of cheap used PS2 and Xbox games over the last few days. Nothing particularly amazing, but good games that I enjoyed or heard were good.

Recent purchases!

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2): I beat the game two days after it came out. It gets a lot of flack for the absolutely stupid storyline, but the gameplay is awesome. I might actually review this one so I can have so more ammo for the TT.

Max Payne (Xbox): I've already beaten and reviewed this one, too, but for $2.99, who can resist?

New Super Mario Bros. Hurts
July 12, 2006

The other day, I was in bed with my girlfriend and we were playing New Super Mario Bros. We were alternating between levels and I was up. I got almost to the end of the level when I jumped poorly and went down a chasm. In frustration and embarassment (because I had cockily ensured my girlfriend that I would in fact dominate the level), I slammed my fist down onto, what I thought, was the bed. I ended up hitting the bed frame, and my thumb nail turned instantly black. It hurt like hell.

Here's a picture:

This was almost a month ago too, and I just took this picture tonight. I suspect that the thumb nail's going to fall off pretty soon.
