![]() | I posted a game there. More to come. |
This was a long time coming, and after some encouragement from Wade Clarke, and some procrastination, I dropped the first of what I hope will be several games there. Wade's IFComp 2011 entry, Leadlight Gamma, is also on there: https://wade-clarke.itch.io/leadlight-gamma. If you want the free version for an Apple emulator, it's here.
My game is called Threediopolis. It was an entry in the 2013 IFComp, and it was conceived some time around June 2012. I think it's a pretty simple concept, but it kept growing with hints, silly game text, headers to keep track of progress, and eventually an advanced mode.
It may take a while to "get" and it may just not be for some people--but people say it's quite fun and neat when they do. It has a logic document/walkthrough in case you get stuck. Here is the location, though I may have the sequel, Fourdiopolis, up soon.
I do want to start jumping through the hoops of getting stuff done, and trying to publicize, now that I've done a lot of bug fixing and polishing. Money isn't important--I just have stuff I enjoyed writing and want to share, and I think my 20/25 years ago self would've loved what I've written.
So I hope these posts aren't spamming too much. I do want to promote, and try new things, and so forth. And I'm not sure where to start other than the usual places. At any rate, I'd be glad to swap follows.

honestgamer - August 16, 2016 (09:34 AM) Your blog here is your space, and within reason, you're able to do anything you like with it. Telling the community about games you're working on certainly isn't against any site terms, and I'm sure most folks here welcome updates along those lines, as long as they're not coming at a rate that drowns out everything else! |

aschultz - August 18, 2016 (02:58 PM) Thanks! I appreciate your checking off. I'll probably use it for major releases which will happen at most once every month. Probably more like 3-4 times a year. |
