I actually made another one earlier this week called Alcove, but it was my first Forge map and it was altogether kinda bland. The new one I've been working on is a complicated tower thing called Suskie Complex. You'll notice there aren't a lot of wide-open spaces, as it's designed for close-quarters combat and the like. It's also quite vertical if I do say so myself. You can download it directly to your system here. You're welcome to friend me and check your recommended files, too, but the above method is faster and doesn't involve you being associated with me.

As of now, the map should be Slayer-ready. I'm still learning how to sync maps to specific game variants, and while I'm not interested in objective-based stuff, I would like to have this map set up to support basic team matches. So if anyone knows how to do that, let me know.

Here are some pictures. Click on them for larger versions.

It reminds me of one of those structures they have at MacDonald's and Burger King. I always wanted to have a shoot out in one of those. You should totally put in a ball pit.

I actually could. There's a "toys" category with soccer balls and stuff. You're giving me ideas.

Do you know how much of a hit that would be?

An assault rifle shoot-out in a ball pit would be brilliant.

Anyway, I approve of the verticalness of this map! I reckon it would be good for dropping down on people for assassinations and melee kills, which is my preferred method of execution. I also like how easy it is to get around (particularly the teleport that takes you from the bottom right to the top). I don't know how you have the patience to construct intricate maps like this, but I am suitably impressed by the effort!

I'm generally not a fan of vertical maps and see them as gimmicky, but never tried Reach so I can't comment on the quality of this one. I'd try it if I could, though!

Same with me, and that was the idea. Sportsman is right that vertical maps in FPSs tend to be gimmicky, but Reach has a strong close-range dymanic and I tried to build on that. I'm not sure if you noticed, but both of the melee weapons on this map are stashed in drop points. Thanks for checking out the map, by the way!

I think I just enjoy doing this sort of thing. The only enjoyment I got out of The Sims was in designing the houses my Sims lived in.
