It's probably a reference to the one guy stepping down--in part--from his post wherein he was heavily restricting gaming in Australia by preventing the adoption of an equivalent to North America's "M" rating. The preceding sentence rocks.

Generally when someone like that steps down it's to make way for a younger, more energetic, version of himself.

Thanks for letting me know. My fault for not reading the newspaper that day, I guess :) In a way, you non-Aussies might have spotted it more easily as the main Australian news that registers in gaming channels is all to do with the R-rating thing, where for locals, it's another news item to be sorted out from the barrage that makes up our true-blue dinkum Aussie lives.
