	randxian - June 19, 2009 (06:05 PM) This surprises you? GameFAQs reviews have been subpar for quite some time now. Sure, there are still some above average reviewers, but it's now way too easy to submit reviews that have no business being published. The mods don't give a shit about quality and don't take the 30 seconds to make sure it's good enough to post. I actually made a motion on their suggestions boards a long time ago to make quality control stricter, and nobody was with me on it. Too many kids import a Japanese game 6 months prior to it being released, don't understand the story, play the game for 15 minutes, and slop a half assed review on GameFAQs.

	Suskie - June 19, 2009 (07:39 PM) Uh, Randxian? I wrote that review. In fact, it's one of the few I migrated to HG. I was talking about the fact that GameFAQs no longer recognizes line breaks, and as such, reviews look like walls of text now. But, uh, thanks.

Edit: I thought you meant the actual writing initially. I didn't realize you meant the formatting. I just clicked on your review and now I see what you really meant. Sorry about the confusion.

	randxian - June 20, 2009 (06:17 AM) GameFAQs is full of oddities. I remember one of my reviews was easily over 400 words and would easily qualify for a full review, but the drop down box only let me select quick review.
	zippdementia - June 20, 2009 (03:16 PM) All that said, it is true that there are a lot of crap reviews on gamefaqs. HOWEVER! I'm not against that. HG is a site that gives quality reviews nearly every time. Especially with staff and freelance reviews, I always feel that I can trust the opinion being offered me. Gamefaqs is good for more variety. By letting anyone write a review, you get to sample everyone's opinions and figure out for yourself in which category you belong. It takes more work, but some people like to do it that way.
