Funny you should say that. I have officially stopped watching new episodes of "Life on Mars." That's entirely because they quit making them (the rat bastards!), but I'm guessing your disgust with recent "Heroes" events (I don't actually watch the show myself, so I have no idea what they might be or why they might be important) is such that you'd almost prefer it if the show had been canceled a few episodes ago?

The problem is that Heroes had a great first season and has pretty much sucked since then. I spent my winter break getting caught up on the entire show so I could step in for the fourth season, and the only reason I haven't stopped watching until now is because I didn't want all of that time to go to waste. But here's the thing: Heroes airs at the same time as 24, a show I've been loyal to for seven or eight years. Which means if I want to keep up with Heroes, I've literally got to go out of my way and catch up on NBC's website. I've been patient until now but I'm finally just saying, no.

A semi-related note about this season of Lost: It's great to see that someone out there is actually smart about time travel, unlike the Heroes writers, who finally decided they didn't want to make up any more rules and just took away Hiro's powers altogether.

I hear Lost is consistently awesome. I should really start watching it again. I'm at season 4.

Zipp, if you want to get caught up on Lost, now's the time to do so. There's only going to be one more season after this.

And people have been extremely divided about the current season of Lost. There's time travel now (as I hinted at), and a lot of people seem to think this extremely far fetched, apparently forgetting that this is the show with the fucking smoke monster in it. If you've gotten to the fourth season, you've already made it past the lousy parts (slowness of season two, crappiness of the beginning of season three) so you should definitely stick with it.

There seems to be some sort of law of science that says TV shows can't be as good after season three. Guess the writers just use up all the good ideas for the first two seasons.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a show about Heroes and people with Super Powers supposed to... oh, I don't know: Have people with Super Powers.

I'm not going to spoil this for anyone who plans on watching it, but I'm getting pretty fucking sick of the two coolest characters being normal people. It's tired by now, and it does nothing for dram, and it's lame.

Actually, Heroes has been lame since the middle of Season 2. 1 was awesome, and it built up for 17 or so episodes to this one moment. It ended with Cliffhangers, and had an element of mystery to it.

But then midway through Season 2, the writers went on strike. And rather than postponing the seasons like a normal person would have done, they clipped everything they were building up to, and ended what would have been an epic story in three episodes, possibly because they hired Hack replacement writers who may not have ever watched the show.

Then they brought them back for Seasons Three and Four.

It's kind of slowly, inching its way back up to being cool again but we have yet to see.

I have to say, the show that comes on before, Chuck, is actually fairly decent.
