I like Steam's little pop-ups that tell you what games people on your friends list are playing.

It turns out everyone in the world is playing Empire: Total War.

Really? Everybody I know is... well, still playing Team Fortress 2.

I expected a recap of East 17's hit single. I leave disappointed.

I've never heard of East 17. Is it a band you actually like!? Amazing.

But anyway, yeah; Steam's pretty cool. Shame I don't have a better system (or time, for that matter); I'd use it a whole lot more probably.

"Is it a band you actually like!?"

I very much doubt it. But I'd like to officially start the "Gary loves East 17" running joke. Join in.

Nobody likes East 17. Yet, oddly, no one has a bad word to say about Tony Mortimer.

Outside is raining, but inside is wet.

Is he the one that wrote all the songs and isn't an idiot?

Or is he the one that said, on daytime radio, that he frequently "takes five or six pills, just for a laugh"?

Didn't that one try to kill himself, incidentally?

He's the first. The second is Brian Harvey. You might remember him from that time Wyclef Jean tried to bump-start his career and failed hard enough for the pint-sized druggy to show up on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here then complain about there being no pizza in the jungle.

He also ran himself over when he leaned out of his moving car door to be sick after eating fifteen bowls of coco-pops. And he was assulted in a club's parking lot by a mad woman brandishing a baked potato.
