Updating a site...
December 22, 2007

Most people don't know it but it takes alot to keep a decent site up and running...
Take mine for example, I spend at least 4-6 hours a day updating, tweaking, adding new content, etc. I have been doing this for the past 2 months and I have not even hit the tip of the iceberg of what most webmasters put into theirs. But, when you have the heart and the drive for the cause....no obstacle is too great, no road too long.
I love doing my site mainly for the pure sake of doing my part of keeping retro-gaming alive. The memories of a distant childhood, the great achievements of the present, and the hopes for the future.....all in gaming. I am a gamer through and through, and becoming a hardcore gamer with a website by hours of the day. lol It is a great feeling to know that a fun cause is being worked for by the self.
Now on to my game of the day, I set aside the devils for 24 hours to work on my Gun file. I have not yet beat the game but I am about 5 hours into it at least (I just now am ambushing the big boss!) I love the acting in the game, as well as the gritty feel of it, it is basically a linear, old west version of GTA.
I am hopeful to beat it by the end of the week. If work and the site allows!

I'd like to say "been there, done that," except I'm still there and still doing that. I spend around 80 to 100 hours a week on the site (or playing games that I review for the site). I'll be spending less time in 2008 because my work situation has changed, but almost all of my spare time (when I'm not asleep or at work or eating) will continue to go into the site. It's strangely addictive!

Yeah... the legacy gaming link on your sidebar doesn't appear to be working right now. But I'll try again later. I agree, working on a website is fun. And the skills to do such a thing should be valuable in our digital future.

Well, about Star Ocean 3, it's free-roaming in a 3d environment, like in Star Ocean 2. But attacks are a bit more complex than before, in a good way, mind you. Star Ocean 2 had a lot of mashing 'X' and somehow managed to still be fun, but SO3 has you thinking a little bit more during battle. Naturally, like Star Ocean 2, your party will get strong enough to barrage the enemy with numerous attacks or battle skills, and then the fight is over quickly. That's always fun. =D. Battle is regarded as the best part of the game by some.
