really? Scythe? cool, thanks.

Minerva is cool. I was going to review it during Week 6, but when I went back to play it again, it turns out it's actually not as varied as I remembered and I couldn't get enough out of it to write. it just seems really varied because the design is so good.

A strong list. I don't know if you plan this for the playoffs, but it'll be fun to try to crack the list for week 8, err, 9--the first round. I think the week off will help a lot.

I'd be interested in what the other judges thought, too, but a list like this takes time to write. It's really cool to see people looking at the tourney so many different ways.

Can't believe it took me this long to play Minerva, considering that I had it on my computer since all three parts were finished. I agree with it being great and still have one act to go.

Don't think I'll do this for the playoffs but you never know.

Thanks. My Desert Crisis review was technically a rush job since I did most of the writing over the course of two days. Granted, it's one of my favorite games so I've been thinking about how to write it for years. In fact, back in 2003 or 2004 I did write a review for it, but it was a 3000 word mini-FAQ. I'm happy with how my new one turned out and consider it my best review to date. For my favorite games I want to write reviews that convey my adoration without resorting to hyperbole or overly dramatic prose.

the last act is great. play it on hard and you'll see a neat trick with a rocket box on a collapsing little piece of bridge causing you to suddenly shit yourself during an attack helicopter type of battle you think you've got.

Hey, cool. Glad I made the lists a couple of time. I really liked how Q3 came out, and it's nice to know that even blinded fans of the inferior UT enjoyed the review.

RANDOM FACT: I had no intention of using IP at the start of the tourney. I was originally going to use Kolibri against OD but had a random change of heart.
