Genj - May 11, 2007 (10:52 PM) Looks better than PS3. None of those shots look washed over in brown. |

Halon - May 11, 2007 (11:11 PM) If I'm correct neither the 360 or PS3 have the power to run DirectX 10 (they both run 9). That's why there's a big controversy over whether or not Crysis should be ported over to consoles. Obviously doing that will increase sales, but this is a game that's supposed to show off the true power of current technology and Crytek wouldn't want to release something that looks like ass. |

carcinogen_crush - May 12, 2007 (08:14 AM) Seeing that Alan Wake shot makes me sad. It's why I bought the 360. Then I hear all these rumors that it was just a tech demo or something. |

EmP - May 12, 2007 (10:45 AM) Lies. It'll be on 360 -- wait and see. |

Halon - May 12, 2007 (11:06 AM) It will probably be on the 360, but won't look as good as in the screenshot. =( |

carcinogen_crush - May 12, 2007 (01:52 PM) EGM - I think, can't remember from a day or two ago - ran an article in their latest issue about some game called Haze. Can't remember much about it, really. . . Oh well. |

pup - May 13, 2007 (10:55 AM) Haze is an upcoming FPS for the PS3. As for DirectX 10, I can wait. For one, it's simply too expensive. I could buy a console for the price of a compatible video-card. Secondly, developers have not been able to keep up with the technology sufficiently. I'm sick of looking at the normal mapping glow. We're still stuck with the same stiff animations year after year. Finally, I'm sick of innovative gameplay taking a backseat to graphics. This is not to say that DirectX 10 shouldn't happen. I simply think that we need to give developers time to catch up with the abilities of technology. |
