Marc Golding says: "Take Simon through a slow build of Castlevania content. His first level push will allow you to experience the stirring new anthem, Simonís Theme, and provide decent warm up whipping action. Knee-deep in rushing crystal waters, make your way to the mythical Medusa in all her topless glory; she may just turn you to stone. "

Zigfried says: "The game exhibits useless imagination from the very beginning, with two-tiered levels (walk through a gate and traverse the background ó pass back through the gate and you're in the foreground again) and new enemies such as a skeletal knight riding atop a skeletal horse. This cart's got some serious style. Too bad it's so damn ugly."

bluberry says: "One of my favorite episodes of The Twilight Zone is the story of a thief who's killed during a robbery and moves on to an afterlife. He assumes that he's in heaven, since he hits the jackpot every time he gambles, is given whatever he wants, and thinks that all of the women are flawless. The perfection becomes tiring, though, and the thief demands to go to the ''other place''. His guardian angel then lets out a sinister laugh and bellows ''This is the other place!''. Well, ..."

Daisuke02 says: "If youíve been playing games for any length of time, youíve probably heard of the Castlevania series. If you havenítÖ well, thatís absolutely tragic, because aside from being one of the most memorable franchises from the NES era, Castlevania is still one of the most enjoyable series around today. Thanks to the Wiiís Virtual Console, itís possible for people who missed the older, pre-SOTN games to finally experience those classics, and there are few entries more worthy than..."

ratking says: " I am a huge fan of the Castlevania series, and this game was one of the main reasons I bought the Super Nintendo. This game was distinctly one of the highest rating in the series, and I expected much from of it. It matched those hopes, but however it did not go above and beyond. Don't get me wrong, this is a great game, but is also not as good as the Dracula Curse game that came before it, and some of the others to come after. "
