zippdementia I'm best known for my extensive work in the fields of this and that. I tend to be better at that, though I have more fun with this.

I'm an odd jobber with an even personality who isn't afraid to roll with the punches but prefers to dodge them when able.

We talked about Interactive Fiction, Social Politics, Education, Fallout 3, and going insane. It's a pretty excellent interview.

Well, honest gamers got my review of Blue Lacuna... which has been linked on Aaron Reed's site, I just noticed

Gameroni gets the interview. If you're interested in Interactive Fiction or the application of video games to other fields, especially education, then please give it a read. I'd love to discuss it further with the folks here.

Just a general thumbs up here. He sent back a thanks-for-the-thanks pretty quickly. Good job to him for leaving a boring day job to do what he really wants.

It was a really interesting interview. I was really pleased that we got into issues of sexuality and racism. I could've spent an entire interview just discussing them. I think social issues like that are something that more video game developers need to be thinking about in a serious fashion.

Aaron Reed has officially made me fall in love with Interactive Fiction. I think I've just discovered my thesis project.

My interactive fiction game will discuss sexuality and racism in a mature manner. There will be a scene where the main character can have sex with racists.

But are the racists attractive?

Have you never had an instinct to recoil away from something, based on just your first obvious impressions? Strange thing, but a lot of people don't really deal with their racism.

So maybe the game could point out your own prejudice, or something like that?

Now, when we say racist, do we mean:

A) The Archie Bunker lovable racist type,
B) Edward Norton in American History X racist, or
C) Like the skinheads from vigilante who appear to be equal opportunity employers (see level 2)

You are outside of a bar.

"GO IN BAR"

You can't go in bar. There is a black man standing outside the door.
