I finally found a ROM that would play Mother 3 (VBA). But now it won't save games or even game states.
Not a problem! Found a way to fix it. Just have to drop a Mother 3 save state into the VBA save folder and it should be fixed!
But I can't do anything to the VBA folder... it says it's read only... which explains a lot about why I can't save, actually.
I think I'm going to cry.

Right click the folder. Go to Properties. Uncheck "read-only." Click OK.

Naw, doesn't work. I ended up fixing that problem by moving the file into applications and out of the original folder. Now I can save state, at least.
I still can't save from within the game itself, but that's not a huge deal right now since I'm only wanting to play Mother 3 and nothing else.
