I wasn't all that impressed with the US SNES Earthbound. I like the theme and the gags, but certain game play elements annoy me.

However, it would be nice to have all three of those available, since Earthbound is such a unique series.

I loved Earthbound. It was witty, quite long and pretty depressing at points as well. Gygas in general.

Such a release is unlikely, due to some legal snafu that some other site could probably explain better than I can. Basically, Nintendo can either exert a lot of effort changing musical and graphical elements of each of the three Mother games, or they can cough up a whole lot of cash to different IP owners in the United States. Again, you'll want to use Google to find a more in-depth explanation.
