Time for a change... I think this sums me up pretty well:

Title: Concerning ROMs.... Posted: March 19, 2008 (09:36 PM)
OK. Felix was nice enough to recommend a few easy NES ROMs to download so I could write a review for this tourney. They included Bubble Bobble, Parasol Stars, and Rainbow Islands. I've been leading towards RI.
However, searching the 'net for this game, I discovered something...
That there are two "versions" of the game. There's an old version and a new version, the new one being at least 400kb more. I'm not sure which one to download because I don't know what the difference between the two is. And if there's a huge difference, that could determine how I rate the game.
Any suggestions?
Also, feel free to recommend more ROMs - I might want to check more out later after this thing.

NES recommendations that are underappreciated:
Super Dodgeball
Legendary Wings
Bad Dudes
Adventure Island
Karnov

Isn't Bad Dudes supposed to suck?
I'm pretty sure there is only one version of NES Rainbow Islands. It's officially called Rainbow Islands: The Story of Bubble Bobble 2. If there is another version that's larger, maybe it's an altered one? I don't know. The official one is JP only, and its graphics are its greatest weak point (I think).

Thanks, pup - I'll keep those in mind for later.
And after talking for a bit with Felix about this, turns out I mistook any "old versions" for something else entirely. >_> I somehow didn't notice that what I was looking at was really the Arcade version. ^^; Silly me. Though I suppose I can blame part of my confusion for Gamefaqs' way of listing games - it had just "Rainbow Islands" listed under NES, so... yeah. >_>
Anyway, ew - what happened to your avatar, Felix? You didn't... o.o; close your account and leave us for good, did you? Your blog's showing... nothing... I know you said in your tournament topic that stuff came up, but... I didn't know it'd be that bad... I hope everything's OK...

I had a whole list of suggestions for you last night but my internet crashed as I went to submit it.
I recommend (going by what you rated):
Super C
Super Mario Bros 3
Clash at Demonhead
Dragon Warrior IV
StarTropics
Also get Gens and either SNES9x or ZNES so you can play Genesis and SNES ROMs respectively. 8-bit sucks for the most part.

Thanks sportsman. I'll keep those in mind, especially the Dragon Warrior one, too. Shame your computer lost the original list, though.
