Last Semester: an Evaluation
May 08, 2009

I. Am. Awesome.

Got (most of) my grades back last night and they're all As again. Except for stats which is an incomplete because the teacher was sick when I took the final so he couldn't grade mine before he had to put grades in. I'm 90% certain I'll get a B of some nature in that class, though, which is better than I expected from a stupid math class I never wanted (or really needed except for general core requirements) to take. And even if it is a C, I don't care because I never cared about that class. Just as long as it's nothing lower.

My history paper must have been good enough after all. Or maybe she just looked at it and considered the time frame in which I did it and everything. I dunno. But my grade in the class is an A, and it wouldn't be an A if the paper were a B or lower, I don't think. I still don't like the paper, but if this result means anything, I guess I don't need to be ashamed of it anymore. lol

The other paper I almsot killed myself with, though, - the philosophy one - is awesome and I'm super happy and proud of it. Especially since I got full points on it. I think that was my pride achievement this semester, which is kind of a shame because I'd like the history paper to be, considering that you know, history's my major. But heh. I'm still happy. And I'm glad it's all done.

I do wish that I didn't have to almost kill myself that last week, though. But I think next semester I'll be better prepared and know what to do better, so hopefully I won't be so overwhelmed next time.

But yes. Now I am happy. I'll gladly show anyone either of my papers if they want to read them. =D LOL

I will say that this was the hardest semester I've had yet, so I'm glad I did so well. Especially considering the history course was a 300 level course, and I've yet to take the course that teaches me to write good history papers. lol I'll be taking that next semester... as a junior, since only juniors or higher can take it. The lessons learned this semester will help me get through the next one because next semester I'm taking 6 courses... and two really difficult history ones. Another 300-level on top of the writing course. But at least I get to learn about pirates! =D

I'm not sure what my favorite course was. Probably the history one just because of the content and challange, despite the fact that I wanted to strangle myself towards the end of it. I need to elarn to manage 2½ hour once-a-week classes better... because I have 3 next semester. ._. I will say that my least favorite course was that stats one, though. Blech. Not my field at all.

History is awesome and the best people in the world are history nerds.

You've pretty much overtaken me in that stake now, though. I award you the site's biggest history nerd mantle. I always have the biggest jerk moniker to fall back on.

Congrats. You've worked your arse off this year and I'm glad it's all paid off. If only someone had said this, repeatedly, while you complained endlessly....

You're right. History is awesome and we totally are the coolest (and nerdiest) people living. It's a fantastic and ineresting combination that totally makes life fun! =D Haha. Though the fact that I might possibly know more than you do now is scary in and of itself, but that's what I get for taking the courses I do! lol

Aw, thanks. I'm glad it paid off, too. I was kind of sort of worried there for a bit, especially with that history and stats classes. Haha. Though I still like how I make a big deal about a B versus an A. But, well, I'm a perfectionist. >_>

Hey; you kept me sane during those last few weeks so take that what it's worth. =P Haha. I just hope I'll never have to deal with that much stress again... Really was not much fun at all.

Thanks, though. Really.
