This semester's probably the toughest I've had them... since they're actually in all five of my lasses this time.
Well, the first two (on Monday and Tuesday) were easy... but I just took two more today, within two hours of each other, used above or almost the whole time given (two hours), and were some of the toughest ones yet. These were Theology in the morning, which involved a lot of writing.... and Spanish in the afternoon, which involved a lot of brain cramps. Now I just feel like rolling over and dying. I don't want to do anything except relax, but I can't because I have to study for Saturday's anthropology final, which promises to be the toughest one yet... especially since I haven't absorbed nearly as much material as I would have liked....
At least I think I did well on the ones so far... except the Spanish one that is.... Odd considering I used to be ace in Spanish, but maybe I'm really not anymore. Or at least I don't feel like it.

Genj - December 11, 2008 (04:54 PM) My first semester of grad school finals aren't even that bad. Tomorrow I have an 25 multiple choice open book, open notes final in Evidence Based Practice. The only prep we need to do is read a case study and two articles. Not too worried about this at all. I have a take home final of 17 short answer questions (1-2 sentences each) for Lifespan due Monday. Not too worried about that at all. Tuesday I have a big final in Functional Movement. A lot of it is review from Gross Anatomy, but there is some Physics and development trends stuff I need to review. Then finally I one last final in Analysis and Adaptation. The professor is a total push-over and will likely make the test really easy. Plus I barely tried on all the assignments and I think I've lost maybe .75 of 1 point total from all of them. I'm hesitant to study a lot for it because it may be a waste of time. Good luck with your actual work. |

Halon - December 11, 2008 (05:40 PM) Two of mine are done, one was a final paper and the other was during the last class (which was yesterday). I have Game Theory (not too bad) and Financial Math (tougher) next week. Unfortunately I have to stay until the following Monday to take my Stochastic Modeling (brutal material, but easy prof) exam. I tried to come up with excuses to take it next week but they were unsuccessful since I don't have a valid conflict. At least I get time to study for it. I spent my afternoon tutoring two idiots in Calculus. Basically they just decided to open up their book today and wanted me to teach them everything. |

wolfqueen001 - December 12, 2008 (09:11 AM) Thanks Will. <3 God, genj. I don't know how you can be in grad school and have it "easier" than me... that's... insane. Of course, I wouldn't think your stuff was easy at all if I had to take it since I'm not in that particular field, but still... Sportsman: I'd rather tutor than take some dumb final any day. As long as I'm not tutoring calculus. You should archive that alpha tourney, too, btw. =D |

Halon - December 12, 2008 (11:14 AM) At least I'm getting paid for the tutoring, though it still pisses me off when people expect me to teach them everything right before exams. I did archive the ABC tourney, just need to link it to the archive page. Thanks for reminding me. |
