Title: A New Quiz (of About Medium Difficulty)
Posted: July 22, 2007 (05:18 PM)
Hello, all determined to be happified! Recently, I got Star Wars IV: A New Hope on DVD. As if this was not enough to make me excited through and through, it featured two discs; one contained the special edition, fully remastered and all that, and the second disc contained the original theatrical version, circa thirty years ago. I was so jubilant about this purchase, I decided to create a quiz for A New Hope. Yes, that's right, this is ONLY FOR THE FOURTH MOVIE. Got that? Good. If you get stuck, walk, don't run, to your local Blockbuster and rent the movie. You'll have to pay attention to the film, though, so watch it!
1.) Who shoots first in the original movie, Han or Greedo?

2.) Who shoots first in the special edition, Han or Greedo? Note that this is the DVD version we're talking about here.

3.) The Mellenium Falcon made the Kessel run in how many parsecs?

4.) Which important supporting character in The Empire Strikes Back made a cameo appearance in the special edition? In what scene was this character's cameo featured?

5.) During the purchase of the droids from the Jawas, Uncle Owen buys C-3P0 and an red R2 unit. However, what part of the droid malfunctions, thereby causing Uncle Owen to reconsider his purchase?

6.) At the beginning of the film, we see C-3P0 and R2-D2 ambling, in a panic, through the ship. However, they aren't the only droids visible to us for about twenty seconds. What type of droid follows them about during this time, and what color is it?

7.) Who is the first person in the film to say the popular phrase "I have a very bad feeling about this."?

8.) How big, approximately, is a womp-rat?

9.) Name five pilots during the Death Star battle sequence (aside from Luke himself). Remember, call numbers (i.e., Red Five) don't count! The names are there, you just have to listen for 'em. You may need the special edition, though I don't think you do.

10.) How many words are in the opening sequence where they recap what's happening? Note that the phrases "Star Wars," "EPISODE IV," and "A NEW HOPE" (all at the very beginning) don't count. They're just the headers, see? "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...", however, DOES count. Remember!
I'll post the answers as a reply to this entry. Bye now!

Here are the answers to my quiz. No peeking, cheater-pants!

1.) Han

2.) Greedo (though the DVD edition has them shooting almost simultaneously)

3.) Twelve

4.) Boba Fett; he appears just at the end of the scene with Jabba the Hutt and Solo.

5.) The red R2 unit's motivator is bad.

6.) Another protocol droid (colored silver)

7.) Luke

8.) About two meters (Luke says, during the debriefing sequence just before the Death Star fight, "It's not impossible! I used to bulls-eye womp-rats in my T-16 back home. They're not much bigger than two meters!")

9.) The ones I found were: Biggs, Wedge, Porkins, Tiree, and Hutch

10.) Ninety-three
