About Me:

Sorry, but I haven't yet shared the information about myself that would typically display here. Check back later to see if that changes, or if I instead choose to remain an enigma.

Boobah: What the Bleep?!?
July 23, 2007

Today I've decided to discuss the most annoying show I have ever seen: Boobah. I was surfing channels the other day when I came upon this show. I'll start out by saying that it's very strange that Europeans think that a show like this is even supposed to exist. It alternates between five little multicolored fat creatures doing seizure dances and little children dancing/blowing on stuff to make things happen. It is incredibly creepy. In fact, I heard from a mysterious source (myself) that they were originally going to call this show "What Hitler Sees When he Gets a Stomach Ache." It's that bad.

A New Quiz (of About Medium Difficulty)
July 22, 2007

Hello, all determined to be happified! Recently, I got Star Wars IV: A New Hope on DVD. As if this was not enough to make me excited through and through, it featured two discs; one contained the special edition, fully remastered and all that, and the second disc contained the original theatrical version, circa thirty years ago. I was so jubilant about this purchase, I decided to create a quiz for A New Hope. Yes, that's right, this is ONLY FOR THE FOURTH MOVIE. Got that? Good. If you get stuck, walk, don't run, to your local Blockbuster and rent the movie. You'll have to pay attention to the film, though, so watch it!

The Mysteries of Sequels
July 19, 2007

I am constantly at a loss as to why the sequels of a movie never seem as good as the original. From film to film, there are constant cases proving that more movies are not better.

Nintendo's Reinforcements in the Console War
July 18, 2007

I recently read a New York Times article about how more and more game developers and publishers seem to be leaning towards the Wii for game-making. It seems that the Xbox 360's and PS3's development costs are going quite high when compared to the little white box with the Wiimote. Besides, with all the Wii sales happening, you know that the companies gotta get them some of that.

At first, a lot of developers leaned towards Microsoft's and Sony's machines. They could pull off better graphics, and that was what people wanted, right? However, their reservations about the Wii were well founded. The GameCube, which initially sold well, was outsold marginally by the PS2 and Xbox. The developers didn't want to run the risk of making a minimal profit.

Sonic CD: The Woes and Happiness
July 17, 2007

Just the other night, I was enjoying a good game of Sonic CD via the Gems Collection. It was brutally awesome, and the crazy-fun stages/boss battles had me hooked.

But the best was yet to come. I had gotten to Act 3 of Stardust Speedway Zone-- more specifically, the race against Metal Sonic. Man, it was fun. I felt the adrenaline rush as he passed me by, the desperation of losing my rings to his electrical attack, and the thrill of barely pushing past him to the finish line, blowing him up and saving Amy.

Satisfied with a hard day's work, I shut my GameCube off.

Wait a minute. Did that save? I thought it might have, but I checked, just to make sure. To my utter horror, I found that Sonic was dispatched to Wacky Workbench Zone, where I had started from.

Can You Please Hate Linkin Park in Private?!?!?
July 16, 2007

I would like to ask a favor of all who have read my entry on music and flamed me, due to the fact that I happen to-- shudder-- enjoy Linkin Park. While some of you may think this is grounds for a hanging, have you ever stopped to think about the fact that this is my personal opinion? Heck, guys, it's within my rights as an American to be allowed to like a certain band that some other people don't like! Likewise, it is within your rights to hate whatever bands you like. But, in the intrest of respect, I'd like you to please stop jeering at me about it.

Throw it All Away: Who Should I Thank for This?/A2 on MySpace
July 16, 2007

I have a question that I'm just dying to find the answer to: Who performs Shadow's theme from Sonic Adventure 2, "Throw it All Away?" I want to see if I can find it on iTunes or someplace like that. The song is actually kind of good... sort of...

By the by, another band from another Sonic game with Shadow in it, A2, has a MySpace page that I found recently. Check it out here:

http://www.myspace.com/A2

They performed the grim redemption anthem "Chosen One," in case you're wondering. Enjoy their other songs on their Standalone player, including their tribute song to the band STYX, entitled "Too Much Time." It's neat; go check it out.

Bye, gang!
