About Me:

Sorry, but I haven't yet shared the information about myself that would typically display here. Check back later to see if that changes, or if I instead choose to remain an enigma.

Bourne Ultimatum
August 11, 2007

I saw The Bourne Ultimatum today. It was kind of good. I will review this movie AND show a new style of reviewing films in one fell swoop. Presenting...

THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM YAY AND NAY CHART

Yay!:
* Matt Damon's acting
* Occasional good lines
* Action sequences
* Good music

Nay.:
* Pretty much everyone else's acting (subpar or lifeless)
* Occasional pointless lines
* Bourne's new name (Jason Bourne is so much cooler than David... uh... David Surname-That-I-Can't-Remember)
* Shaky camera

Overall Impression:
Good enough, but could use improvements. 7.5/10.

EDIT: I'm changing it to an 8.5/10. I was a little too harsh, I think.

Sonic Firestorm
August 09, 2007

Okay, just yesterday, I downloaded an album off the Internet; specifically, DragonForce's "Sonic Firestorm" album. You know, the one that England voted 2nd on the list of Top 50 "Battle Metal" Albums of the Last 20 Years. The one that has DragonForce's best stuff on it. THAT one.

The DF is in top form here, from the incredible high-octane trills in "My Spirit Will Go On" and "Fury of the Storm" to the slower, ballad-esque tunes of "Dawn Over a New World." I'm not kidding, you guys have GOT to check this album out. I don't have time to make a full review (I'm too lazy), so go here to check out the review.

The Decline and Fall of the Blue Hedgehog
August 05, 2007

I think that all of us who have been with Sonic the Hedgehog since the beginning know that he was amazing when he dashed onto the gaming scene in 1991. His game moved twice-- no, three times faster than the plumber who was taking all the glory at the time. He had serious attitude, as opposed to the lifelessness of all those OTHER game characters. Best of all, his game was fun.

As you can imagine, Sega churned out sequels as fast as they could. Sonic became a household name-- more kids could identify him than Mickey Mouse in '92-- and his games improved as they were released. Perhaps the pinnacle of the Blue Blur's career was the release of Sonic CD in 1993. It was and is easily the best of Sonic's adventures.

Be Courteous (by Steve Martin)
August 01, 2007

Today, I present the lyrics to a silly little ditty by Steve Martin, entitled "Be Courteous." This is the abriged version, since I learned this song by word of mouth, and the person in question knew it differently than the way the lyrics actually were. So here is the abriged version of Steve Martin's "Be Courteous." YAY! The lyrics are a little mixed up, but the master who teaches incorrectly passes his faults onto the student, so my bad.
=====courteous, kind, and forgiving,gentle and peaceful each day,thoughtful and trustful and childlike,obsequious, purple, and clairvoyant.
pompous, obese, and eat cactus,
Live in a swamp and be three-dimensional,
Put a live chicken in your underwear,
Get all excited and go to a yawning festival.
tasteless, rude, and offensive,

I'm Baaaaaaaaaaack!
July 31, 2007

Well, it was a tiring vacation down in New York, but as I had time to kill in the city, I figured I'd tell you all about my trip to Nintendo World and (inadverdantly) make you all jealous. Sorry... but I'm doing it anyway.

Well, a lot has been going on at 10 Rockefeller Plaza since my last two excursions to it. Do you guys remember that issue of Nintendo Power (you know, just after its look was redesigned) where they talked about it? I remember that the article was called "A World Apart," so that may refresh your memory. It is wonderful down there, and everything the article said.

Bye Now!
July 26, 2007

To all of my readers: I will be taking a four-day hiatus so I can go on vacation. When I come back, I'll have much more to tell you. As an example, ever been to Nintendo World? I'm goin' there! I'm going to New York, so you can bet I'm stopping by there. Do not expect a new entry for about five days, because there won't be one.

Bye!

Mood: Ready to go on vacation!!!
