Red Rocket Games Games

Headquartered in Bellevue, WA, with a 22-person development studio in Shanghai, China, Red Rocket Games is a game developer focused on creating bite-size digital entertainment and casual games for the PC, Internet, handheld and iPhone markets. The company, which was formed in 2005, merges the best of Asia’s online gaming innovations, such as micro-transactions and avatar systems, with proven U.S. game design methodologies. The company was co-founded by Jung Suh, who was most recently the co-founder and VP of content for GameFly, and Scott Yu, formerly a technical art director at Electronic Arts. Red Rocket Games will release its first casual game in early 2009 on its own portal, as well as on sites of other distributors and publishers of casual games.

There are numerous companies in the industry, and their names change like the weather. The information above is not particular about the finer details. Acquisitions are common, so companies with no recent listings may still be developing games under a new name. For example, DMA Design currently has a Rockstar name.
