Shadow Madness review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownThe story in this game is its peak. It's quite good, actually. It's about a plague, and well... a plague. It doesn't sound like much, but it really does prove to be involving, and somewhat suspenseful. |

Final Fantasy VIII review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownLike the Materia system, you lose spells when you change Junctions and magic around. And I tend to forget who has what spell, so I go to have Rinoa cast Aura, and find out that not only did I give all of her Aura to Quistis, but Quistis isn't in my party. AAAAAAACK! |

Final Fantasy VIII review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownThen it adds in a bunch of other interesting and likeable characters (also some not-so-likeable), gives you some solid information about them, and then, takes the player on an absolute rollercoaster ride between plotlines, brainwashing you several times, messing with your mind, betraying your trust, and ultimately, leading you to an epic and ingenious climax. |
Suikoden review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownThe duals are extremely challenging indeed, and I found myself getting very frustrated over them! It is also a challenge to recruit all 108 party members; it was fun doing it. Most party members require you to do some sort of ''chore'' before you get them. |
Tekken 3 review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownBut other than that, they kept the original arcade mode, and added other modes like beach ball mode, Tekken street mode, etc... There's lots of stuff to do here, and tons of replay value. |
Final Fantasy IX review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownI laughed, and even cried a little, at various points in the game. Not since Final Fantasy VI have I gotten so totally sucked into a game. This game will be within easy reach of my Playstation for a long, long time. |

Final Fantasy IX review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownWhat prompted me to buy this game? Perhaps it was my longing for another great story from Square. Because that's what most Square RPGs are, a story, with some new gameplay devised thrown in for good measure. Another reason was the return to ''Old School'' Fantasy, not the modern fantasy of VII and VIII. (Which has it’s own charm, mind you) I was willing to put up with the random battles and leveling up, but was very surprised when neither were really that bad. Thanks to this game, I am now ... |

Front Mission 3 review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownWell Square has done it once again. They have set their place, as one of the greatest RPG companies the world has ever seen. Front Mission 3 is a new type of RPG unlike anything before. |
Vandal Hearts review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownThey're very flat looking, and after playing FFT, it was sometimes hard for me to even see the characters and tell them apart on the battle map. There are no cutscenes, and the graphics are basically the biggest downfall in this game. Boring, sloppy, and not by any means eye-pleasing. |
Galerians review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownIt added some unique new features, and is propelled by an excellent storyline. Galerians isn't quite as scary as Silent Hill, but its seriousness definitely surpasses Resident Evil's ''jump-out-of-your-seat'' horror. |
Wild Arms review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownIt's also great for someone who doesn't want to get entangled in a more-complicated RPG like Lunar, with all the elaborate video sequences and character parts. This is a core RPG. It has most of the RPG elements without all the flash. |
Gex: Enter the Gecko review (PSX)Reviewed on Date Unknowna simple platformer that doesn't complicate things, and is good, consistent fun. |
The Granstream Saga review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownMaybe this game was just poorly translated. The game is so linear, I don't think you really have a choice as to what you want to do (reminds me of the first 11-13 hours of Final Fantasy 7, where you're in that power plant). I literally want to scream while playing this game. |
Gundam Battle Assault review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownAnime games here are few and far between. And that might be a good thing. Anime games are the Japanese equivelent of a movie or TV license. Meaning, for every Goldeneye there is at least 300 Olsen Twins, Xena or Blues Brothers. Anime games have improved- Record of Lodoss War, Card Captors, and Oh My Goddess for Dreamcast are rather competent, and Bandai's crank-a-dozen Gundam titles for Playstation are passable. |
Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownThis game dosn't deserve a intro. |
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownIt's fun and varied, but it ain't good. |
Koudelka review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownKoudelka has a similar look and feel to a survival horror game; Except there are random encounters while exploring the monastery and the battles are duked out in a strategy RPG format on a 7x7 grid. |
The Legend of Dragoon review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownThe Additions system was all right, but the Dragoon magic really annoyed me. First of all, in order to use the right spells, you have to have the right person in your party. There is no way for Meru to use a Fire spell, or for Albert to use a Thunder spell. |
Legend of Mana review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownI guess the problem is that a lot of the time, it's hard (very hard in some parts) to navigate through dungeons and towns, because it's hard to tell what's what. I'm used to games where the environment is 3D, and you can rotate the camera angle to see things more clearly...None of that here! |

Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete review (PSX)Reviewed on Date UnknownEach character has conflicts to resolve, both outer and inner--such as the, uh, tempestuous relationship between Jessica and Kyle . . . Also, something else I appreciated is the fact that the characters were mainly original, and not stereotypes. |
