Skylanders Swap Force (Xbox 360)

Skylanders Swap Force review (X360)

Reviewed on October 31, 2013

If you're okay buying more figurines, Skylanders Swap Force offers a meaty adventure with a hefty amount of content to justify every dollar spent. Just don't expect to get away with your wallet intact.

Silent Hill HD Collection (Xbox 360)

Silent Hill HD Collection review (X360)

Reviewed on August 30, 2013

Maybe it's watching James descend down one deep hole after another…only to wind up outside on ground level with no indication that he'd been following a steadily declining path; or perhaps it's Heather having to frantically check doors in a shopping mall while constantly being chased by durable monsters she has nowhere near enough ammo to put down — these are not emotionally relaxing games.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Xbox 360)

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion review (X360)

Reviewed on August 05, 2013

It never leaves entirely, though. I mean, I've spent a total of 375 or so hours in the world of Oblivion and its DLC, and I have no regrets. I was glad when it was over and I doubt I'll ever play it again, but I had a great time until the end, when I was just trying to finish off the final few quests as quickly as possible.

Mark of the Ninja is an amazing stealth game featuring a hefty amount of symbolism.

DARK (Xbox 360)

DARK review (X360)

Reviewed on August 03, 2013

I didn't buy DARK for its award-winning narrative, thankfully, but because it's a stealth title. Well, that, and I was curious due to the hate the game was receiving.

Resident Evil: Revelations review (X360)

Reviewed on May 28, 2013

For a handheld to produce the best Resident Evil in nearly a decade while its console big brothers are all banging pots and setting off fireworks is pretty badass. Now that it's actually on consoles, though, with the higher standards that a port job like this demands, it just feels like another addition to an increasingly long list of missed opportunities.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Knights of the Nine (Xbox 360)

The Elder Scrolls IV: Knights of the Nine review (X360)

Reviewed on May 28, 2013

In the priory basement is an enchanted pedestal which will convert this equipment into stronger versions as you increase in level. Since many rewards in this game are based on your level when you earn them, having stuff that will grow with you instead of simply becoming obsolete is a very nice touch.

Trial and error so tedious, it even takes the gleam off barely-covered anime tits.

Darkest of Days (Xbox 360)

Darkest of Days review (X360)

Reviewed on April 28, 2013

Darkest of Days isn't going to win any awards for being one of the prettiest games on the Xbox 360, as it's a 2009 title that looks like an indie-made Source game released shortly after 2004's Half-Life 2. But if you've been aware of this game, chances are its looks aren't what piques your interest, instead you're intrigued by the premise: time travel.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct (Xbox 360)

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct review (X360)

Reviewed on April 15, 2013

The game spooked me on a couple of occasions and frequently almost has enough atmosphere to make its many shortcomings worth overlooking, but then you come across a walker staring at a wall, getting stuck to an object or running in circles due to pathfinding confusion and all immersion is shattered.

Borderlands (Xbox 360)

Borderlands review (X360)

Reviewed on March 31, 2013

The game play works incredibly well, but more polish on the more superficial aspects would have made this a game worth revisiting. It may have gotten the Game of the Year, but that was then; the GOTY edition with all of the DLC is affordable now and you’ll get a lot of hours out of it, sure. Borderlands 2 improves on its predecessor in every single way, though,

White Noise Online has made the original title, which I really enjoyed for the three months of its applicable life span, completely obsolete.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (Xbox 360)

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance review (X360)

Reviewed on March 26, 2013

For all the silly things that occurred in Metal Gear Solid 2, all the absurd situations Raiden was placed in, and for all the asinine codec conversations I had with Rose (single-handedly trying to stop super-powered terrorists, damn it!), there's one aspect I really enjoyed: using that sword.

Gears of War: Judgment (Xbox 360)

Gears of War: Judgment review (X360)

Reviewed on March 22, 2013

Judgment is uneventful. It is a succession of disconnected rooms in which unremarkable firefights take place. We rarely even see our team moving from one area to the next; when a mission ends, we push a button, look over our scorecard, push another button, sit through a load screen, and find ourselves in the next area.
