Mega Man Network Transmission review (GCN)Reviewed on June 21, 2003By the time you reach the end of the game, you'll be quite familiar with most of those skills. There are 137 in all. You gain these by defeating enemies, who sometimes leave behind bits of data. It pays to continue defeating the same enemy, too, because the more of one type of data you have, the more times you can use it within a level. |

Skies of Arcadia Legends review (GCN)Reviewed on June 14, 2003I found myself hooked into the story almost immediately. You're given a mystery of sorts to investigate in the very first scene--who is this girl in the strange clothes? Why is she here? And it just gets more interesting from there. |

NBA Street Vol. 2 review (GCN)Reviewed on May 21, 2003This isn't a basketball sim, the players don't behave like real players. Shaq will hit the occasional shot from behind the arc, little Allen Iverson will throw down 360 dunks. Just about any player in the game will hit a mid range jumper with at least 80% accuracy, so getting points on the board is pretty simple |

Skies of Arcadia Legends review (GCN)Reviewed on May 18, 2003I have been hearing about how Skies of Arcadia was this innovative RPG, one that is underated an unappreciated. Well, I have heard that about alot of game and most times it is unappreciated for reasons. I say most of those games, because Skies of Arcadia is definitely an exception to that. Well, back to my little story; so I heard about this Skies game, and I didn't believe it would be that great, but then my Playstation 2 broke. That left me with no RPG's around as I sent my PS2 to be fixed. So... |

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time / Master Quest review (GCN)Reviewed on May 15, 2003For veterans of the original, the dungeons become all new challenges (sometimes extremely frustrating ones), with different sequences necessary for progression and a horde of remixed enemies throughout—for instance, where there might have been a few keese in Ocarina of Time, there now stands a Stalfos. |

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker review (GCN)Reviewed on April 09, 2003The entire sailing element is a love-hate sort of experience: if you don’t mind occasionally spending five minutes crossing the entire ocean to get from point A to point B or constantly changing the direction of the wind, then you can easily dismiss the potential frustration and realize that it is actually a rather fun experience, and simply exploring the ocean, finding all the islands and their respective objectives, is actually enjoyable. |

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker review (GCN)Reviewed on April 09, 2003The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. If you haven't heard of the latest title in Nintendo's Legend of Zelda franchise yet, there's a good possibility you're either very secluded, or living underneath a large rock. Or secluded under a large rock; it doesn't really matter which. In any case, the vast majority of people reading this will have heard of the game, and in fact, probably already love it or despise it depending on a number of factors. Do me a favor, and put any prejudgments aside rig... |

Skies of Arcadia Legends review (GCN)Reviewed on April 06, 2003Dungeons, too, are nearly flawless. Void of the usual maze and switch puzzles found in so many RPG’s, the dungeons in Skies of Arcadia Legends, although not entirely difficult, contain what feel more like actual traps than useless obstacles whose only intent is to hinder your progress. Although disappointingly scarce, the puzzles are only the backdrop to the real meat and potatoes of any RPG: the battles (luckily, the frequency of random encounters has been toned down a bit since the past incarnation). |

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker review (GCN)Reviewed on April 05, 2003It's at this point, where you're wondering if you should just grit your teeth and sail against the wind or play the baton again, that you start scratching your head and wondering if something is wrong. The answer, of course, is 'yes.' This one little flaw, repeated into perpetuity, is enough to seriously interfere with your enjoyment of what otherwise is a stunning experience. |

Super Mario Sunshine review (GCN)Reviewed on February 04, 2003Are We Disappointed Yet? A release like that of Super Mario Sunshine brings with it some pretty high expectations. The last time Nintendo gave us a Mario game (and a rushed one at that), it was so spectacular that most would wonder if it could be surpassed. At the same time, even those filled with doubt must also be filled with anticipation and longing for another display of that spectacular genius. The rule of thumb seems to be that one shouldn’t approach any big-name ga... |

Star Fox Adventures review (GCN)Reviewed on January 27, 2003Charming, and Somehow Familiar… Like many gamers, I have a history with the Star Fox franchise filled with fond memories. So when I heard that the game was switching developers and genres for a trip to the Gamecube, I was very intrigued and at least a little worried. In any event, this was one game I didn't intend to miss. And while I can say that my fears that Star Fox might be ruined were dispelled, it's not because Star Fox Adventures lived up to my hopes ... |

BMX XXX review (GCN)Reviewed on January 03, 2003There is some nudity (even if it's bad) and some humor (even though it gets old fast) and there's enough stuff to do that you'll be busy for a while (even though you won't be having much fun). If that sounds about like an experience you want, pick up the game. |

Star Fox Adventures review (GCN)Reviewed on December 07, 2002To understand my disapointment in StarFox Adventures, you first have to understand my anticipation. First of all, when Dinosaur Planet was coming out on the N64 without StarFox, I was planning on picking it up. It looked like a very good game. Then when Starfox was linked to the game, I put that on the top of my list; next to SSBM. I love everything Starfox has ever done, and Rare has been the creaters of many great games. As soon as a release date was set, I preordered it. I waited those months... |

Metroid Prime review (GCN)Reviewed on November 29, 2002Metroid Prime is not a first-person shooter, however. Nintendo itself has hailed the title as a first-person “adventure,” and for good reason; throughout the game, the player must pay close attention to his or her surroundings, observing and thinking more than shooting. |

Star Fox Adventures review (GCN)Reviewed on November 27, 2002Zelda light: This game, while technically excellent is far from being Rares best work. |

Metroid Prime review (GCN)Reviewed on November 27, 2002From the opening this game is a grabber and doesn't let go. This is, probably, the best crafted game that I have played since Perfect Dark. |
