Suikoden (PlayStation)

Suikoden review (PSX)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

In the world of console gaming, there's different kinds of role playing games. There's your small, close-knit casts seen in Final Fantasy games. There's the extended cast, seen in games such as Star Ocean 2. There's the large cast, seen in Chrono Cross, which features over twenty characters. And then there are the Suikoden games.
Drug Lord (PC)

Drug Lord review (PC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

People like selling drugs. That's a very easy conclusion to draw. I mean, look at all the popular games that involve drugs - Grand Theft Auto 3, Dope Wars, even Barbie on the old Nintendo Entertainment System. While the latter may not appear to be a drug game, you know the programmers had to be on something to make every single object in the game some form of pink.
Valkyrie Profile (PlayStation)

Valkyrie Profile review (PSX)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

If you prefer good gameplay to good storylines, or if those twits in Lunar and Final Fantasy talk too much for you, then Valkyrie Profile might be worth a try.
Myst (PC)

Myst review (PC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Unfortunately, Myst is like an empty Christmas present. It sure does look pretty on the outside, but the actual thing inside the box will let you down.
Final Fantasy VII (PC)

Final Fantasy VII review (PC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

On the console, Final Fantasy 7 is an outstanding game, despite all the hype, in my opinion. On the PC (read again: PC) Final Fantasy 7 barely reaches above mediocre.
Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber (Nintendo 64)

Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber review (N64)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Ogre Battle 64 is one of the few reasons to buy a Nintendo 64. It's that good. If the system had more games like this, it might not have died a premature death against the Playstation.
Heroes of Might & Magic II: The Succession Wars (PC)

Heroes of Might & Magic II: The Succession Wars review (PC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

In Heroes of Might and Magic 2, you play a hero, naturally. You have to save the kingdom from invading forces, blah blah blah, eat a pie, game over, you win.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (PC)

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy review (PC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Minutes before Earth is about to be blown up by aliens, Ford Prefect manages to hitchhike with Arthur on to another alien ship. The game chronicles the unimportant, stupid, and silly journey that they take.
Lemonade Stand (PC)

Lemonade Stand review (PC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

At this point, the game becomes pretty unrealistic - you earn in excess of $50000 a day in lemonade sales, which is pretty impossible unless your clientele includes Bill Gates, The Donald, and Ross Perot.
Might & Magic III: Isles of Terra (PC)

Might & Magic III: Isles of Terra review (PC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

It has flawless execution and presentation values, and still has value, even when stacked up against the newest role playing games.
Might & Magic IV: Clouds of Xeen (PC)

Might & Magic IV: Clouds of Xeen review (PC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Now comes the real slaughter. Might and Magic IV claims to have digitalized speech. What it really contains is a constipated elephant groaning into a microphone.
Might & Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven (PC)

Might & Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven review (PC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Don't get me wrong, Might and Magic 6 is still a decent game. However, it's just not that fun to play and pales in comparision to the other games.
Oregon Trail (PC)

Oregon Trail review (PC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Ah, the dutiful Oregon Trail. Always faithful. If you went to any elementary school in the eighties or ninties, you probably played this game on a trusty Apple computer.
Scorched Earth (PC)

Scorched Earth review (PC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Scorched Earth was a fun little game released for the computer in... Well, who the hell knows when, it was that far back.
Solitaire (PC)

Solitaire review (PC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Solitaire is a game. It's not merely a fun game. It's a game that has ruined families, brought down kings, corrupted popes, and more importantly, provided endless amounts of time for people to goof off at work and do nothing.
Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness (PC)

Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness review (PC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Warcraft 2 is a must-have for any serious real time strategy fan. Despite being around for a good many years, Warcraft 2 still boasts excellent, fun, and entertaining gameplay.
Well of Souls (PC)

Well of Souls review (PC)

Reviewed on Date Unknown

Any hardcore fans of Everquest and Asheron's Call can stop reading now; you won't like this game. However, if you're thinking about purchasing those games, you might want to give Well of Souls a test drive. It provides a massively multiplayer game for the gamer who has a life, and doesn't want to spend money recklessly.
