Twin Blades: The Reaping Vanguard (Xbox 360)

Twin Blades: The Reaping Vanguard review (X360)

Reviewed on February 14, 2010

While it’s far from the worst game available on the indie marketplace, Twin Blades is still too hollow to recommend a purchase.
The King of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga (Wii)

The King of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga review (WII)

Reviewed on February 23, 2009

...all of the games are emulated wonderfully - without any sound problems that sometimes plague compilation discs.
SpongeBob SquarePants featuring Nicktoons: Globs of Doom (PlayStation 2)

SpongeBob SquarePants featuring Nicktoons: Globs of Doom review (PS2)

Reviewed on December 03, 2008

It‘s not perfect, but Globs of Doom provides a well-crafted, fun experience for younger players. Older gamers may find small portions of the game enjoyable, but will likely find that the main game’s lean gameplay wears thin quickly.
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection (Xbox)

Street Fighter Anniversary Collection review (XBX)

Reviewed on March 24, 2005

After months of painful delays, Street Fighter Anniversary Collection finally arrived on the Xbox, and while it isn't perfect, it’s a welcome addition to my gaming library. This amalgamation of the Street Fighter II-series games (World Warriors, Champion Edition, Turbo [Special Champion Edition on the Genesis], Super, and Super Turbo) in the form of Street Fighter II Hyper, combined with the final installment of the Street Fighter III series (Third Strike) crams a lot of fighting onto one disc,...
WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW (PlayStation 2)

WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW review (PS2)

Reviewed on February 17, 2005

WWE SmackDown vs. Raw is the sixth entry for the SD series, and you’d never know it by playing it. Perhaps it’s the fact that this series is done in a narrow time table (with this being the sixth game in under five calendar years), but the end results are always lacking in some ways. As a long-time fan of Yukes’ games (dating back to their first wrestling game, Toukon Retsuden, also the first 3D wrestling game), this series saddens me because I know what they’re capable of, and it’s much bette...
RalliSport Challenge 2 (Xbox)

RalliSport Challenge 2 review (XBX)

Reviewed on February 14, 2005

After being disappointed by how much the bad controls killed any sense of fun from the original, I’m amazed that Rallisport Challenge 2 turns out as good as it does. I came into it very hesitant, thinking that poor controls would once again kill the game. Well, luckily, that didn’t happen, as work was done on them, leaving a game that not only looks and sounds great (the high points of the original), but one that also controls smoothly.
WWE Day of Reckoning (GameCube)

WWE Day of Reckoning review (GCN)

Reviewed on February 14, 2005

I came into WWE Day of Reckoning (or DoR, whichever you prefer) expecting the best wrestling game I’ve ever played. Its successor, WWE WrestleMania XIX provided the best actual wrestling experience in a game. Chain wrestling, diverse counter wrestling, believable technical wrestling, and brutal hardcore warfare were all made possible thanks to Yukes trying new things, and improving things, like sound effects, to plateaus they had never been before. It’s a shame its sequel fell short of even m...
