Solitaire review (PC)

Reviewed on August 14, 2007

Have you actually tried to play solitaire with your own deck of cards? Your answer is most likely no, but I have. And yes, it got messy. A vast number of problems arose when I attempted to do what is best left to computer: I was unsure if there were five rows or seven rows to begin the game, I dealt the cards way to close to the table, it is a pain moving more than five cards in one row to the other, and I had to actually shuffle and deal the cards. After about twenty minutes and two games I qui...

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 review (GEN)

Being Sonic isn’t as easy as one might think. Once one looks past the glamour of being a world hero, his job is pretty tough. Sonic’s arch-nemesis, Dr. Robotnik, is constantly kidnapping the furry animals of the world and only Sonic can save them. This might seem like an easy task at first but it is much more difficult than it presents itself. The reason for this complication is because Dr. Robotnik has set up machines to try to take out Sonic so he doesn’t have to take out the blue hedgehog him...

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2 review (PS2)

I’ve never really been into Japanese shows like Digimon and Yugi-oh. Even when I was younger and all my friends were collecting pokemon cards and following the show religiously I gave it the cold shoulder. So when I played this game I wasn’t interested in the Dragon Ball Z series at all, I wasn’t expecting anything from it either. I’d heard from countless people that the past Dragon Ball Z games were horrible. Why would this game be any different? Boy was I wrong.

When you say hockey you think of a few things. Fighting, toothless Canadians, and organ music playing the chicken dance are the first things that come to mind. When talking about hockey in terms of video games only one thing comes to mind, Sega Sports.
Madden NFL 2004 (PlayStation 2)

Madden NFL 2004 review (PS2)

Reviewed on July 15, 2004

Every other year since Madden '98 I buy the new Madden game. This year I wasn't going to break that tradition. Madden 2004 looked amazing. All the screen shots, commercials, and the hype about the new features. I couldn't wait to get it. It looked like the Jessica Simpson of video games. Unfortunately, the graphics didn't look anything like her and the computer intelligence had her I.Q.
