LocoCycle (Xbox One)

LocoCycle review (XB1)

Reviewed on November 26, 2013

Every mechanic is walled off from the next; a mission could begin with a Shooting Segment and then move on to a Hand-to-Hand Combat Segment before concluding with a Succession of Quick-Time Events.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag review (X360)

Reviewed on November 23, 2013

"Give us feedback," Ubisoft demands. Fair enough. Maybe now they'll finally get the message that these stupid tailing missions have got to go.

Kouryuu Densetsu Villgust Gaiden review (NES)

Reviewed on November 22, 2013

And in case you were wondering, Murobo stepped in and obliterated the final boss’s end phase in about two hits while laughing off any of its attempts to attack him. That only serves to further illustrate the disparity between characters.

AquaPazza: AquaPlus Dream Match review (PS3)

A simple and very pretty fighting game that will appeal primarily to people who like seeing anime girls beat up on one another.

The biggest difference is that you can now do all of this with mechs, because if you're going to add one thing to a winning formula, it should probably be mechs.

Knack review (PS4)

Knack isn't the single game that ought to convince you to buy a PlayStation 4, but it's a compelling experience that should stand the test of time.

Killzone: Shadow Fall review (PS4)

Reviewed on November 17, 2013

It's easy to praise Killzone: Shadow Fall for being gorgeous, but you'll have to search a bit harder to find other things to love about it.

Silent Hill Downpour review (PS3)

Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures (Wii U)

Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures review (WIIU)

Reviewed on November 14, 2013

Pac-Man's cartoony new platforming adventure doesn't do as good a job as one might hope of getting into the spirit of things.

Double Dragon (Sega Master System)

Double Dragon review (SMS)

Reviewed on November 13, 2013

This game is really fun. I had a blast playing it. However, the ability to do cooperative play is what really sets the game apart, extending its life and making it extremely memorable. There are some noticeable flaws, such as the flicker, the repetition in the enemies, and the hit detection that do hinder the experience...but none of them really kill it, leaving Double Dragon thoroughly enjoyable and just plain awesome.
