Primal review (PS2)

Primal's combat is so tiresome that it's easy to ignore the game's lesser flaws, as well as its moments of greatness.

Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse (Sega Master System)

Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse review (SMS)

Reviewed on October 28, 2013

That isn't to say that Castle of Illusion is a bad game...it certainly delivers a solid platforming experience. There are not any real glaring bad points to the game. On the other hand, there are not any eye-opening or really memorable moments to the game either. Overall, it falls short of a genre or generation defining adventure that many remember it to be...coming in as more "good" than "epic".

Deadlight review (PC)

Reviewed on October 27, 2013

The game may not be original, but that shouldn't stop some folks from appreciating it for what it is: a tense and exciting thrill ride of a platformer with plenty of variety.

The Stanley Parable (PC)

The Stanley Parable review (PC)

Reviewed on October 25, 2013

Is The Stanley Parable fun? No, I wouldn't say that it is. But it's mesmerizing, to the point that players will likely play through it so many times that each and every possible ending and branched path is exhausted, and they're left with but a ponderous thought that gnaws and claws at the things they thought they knew about video games, limitations and life.

F.E.A.R.: First Encounter Assault Recon review (PC)

Reviewed on October 25, 2013

Rather than delivering an outstanding first-person shooter with plenty of chills and psychological taunts, it seems like the developers just copied and pasted the same battle repeatedly and tacked on a scary girl.

Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness review (PS3)

Reviewed on October 24, 2013

If you’re a fan of the Disgaea series or of strategy RPGs in general, look no further than Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness. It’s the most refined and aesthetically pleasing Disgaea title to date.

Clock Tower 3 review (PS2)

Reviewed on October 22, 2013

What kills this game most of all is its unnecessary silliness combined with viciousness and brutality, resulting in an unstable mixture that few creative minds can utilize with success.

Beyond: Two Souls (PlayStation 3)

Beyond: Two Souls review (PS3)

Reviewed on October 21, 2013

As a fan of Heavy Rain, I wasn't expecting anything really amazing from the gameplay of Beyond. What I was excited for was another dose of what made that game good: a compelling, if sometimes bizarre story that forces the player to think about his or her choices. In this regard, Beyond fails completely.
