Ok, this is my 10th NES review so I thought I might as well do it on an NES veteran because these little guys are supposed to appear in Super Smash Bros. Melee. I thought that this game would be good since it was made by Nintendo and they thought it was good enough to put in a great game like Super Smash Bros Melee. What I found wasn't pretty. This was really disappointing. Nintendo made amazing games on the nes, unfortunately, this wasn't one of them.

Graphics: 6/10
Even for a beginning NES game, these aren't that great. They're ok, but nothing special. The backrounds could use a little work, but then again, this was an early game. Too bad the rest of the game doesn't fair out.

Sound/Music: 6/10
Wow...low quality beeps and a small variety of music. Again, this could've used alot of work and if they had just improved it a little it could've been alot better game. *sigh* This must've been before every one of Nintendo's games were great. Oh well...

Gameplay: 7/10
This feels like an arcade game. You start at the bottom and break blocks to get to the top. Along the way you wack seals, birds, and other small animals. Even though I play Resident Evil, this was when Nintendo censored everything, how could they allow beating critter pass? Yeesh...this feels like a port of Donkey Kong with Eskimos. It gets repetitive after awhile. Ah well...at least Nintendo finally made the characters fun to play as in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Replay: 4/10
After you beat it, there's not much of a reason to play it again. Beat it once. Have you friend beat it once. Beat it again, get a higher score. Brag to your friend, etc..... After about the fourth time of beating it you realize that this isn't actually a quality game then siece to wonder why no one remembers it.

Overall: 6/10
This could've been much better, coming from a great company like Nintendo. Why this wasn't a great classic like it should've been is beyond me. Maybe it was rushed. Maybe it wasn't by EAD. Who knows? I don't, but I wish it actually deserved to be in Super Smash Bros. Melee. Don't expect this to be a classic just cause it's in SSMB, it's not. It's barely good at all.

Pros:
Uhh....I guess it's gameplay is a bit fun

Cons:
Repetitive gameplay
lousy replay value
bad sound

Rating: 6/10
