Pity the life Ken Ohsato leads. Just one tragic month ago his parents (and apparently his only relatives) died in a car accident, leaving our college-bound protagonist all by his lonesome. Graciously however, the owner of the company his father was employed at has decided to adopt him. Ken's new "mother" Mrs. Hayami doesn't have a (living) husband or any sons, but she does have five lovely, sex-crazed, easy-to-nail daughters and a submissive maid in her household, so you can easily see why she would give our orphan college boy a home. Her only request is to keep her and all her daughters happy.He does this by banging them.
Okay, don't pity his life after all.
If you're willing to look past the incest, or think it doesn't count because he's not their brother by blood, then congratulations, Fatal Relations is the appropriate game for your obviously upstanding lifestyle, and you'll have a grand time masturbating to enemas, bondage, golden showers and anal with a girl entirely too young (can you say twenty five to life?) as you progress the story of this glorified adult picture book. The themes are outrageous and hard to look past; while there is some decent material here if anime babes are your thing, thoughts like "I'm banging my sister" and "the same sister who just gave my other sister an enema" creep in and ruin most any "satisfaction" one could get if they follow the text that rolls along the bottom.
But you could always try to completely ignore the story and guess your way through the game (you will even if you do follow it), simply clicking on options and eventually getting the right one. It is of course impossible to make a wrong choice as the game follows a path devoid of variation, making for a point-and-click adventure you won't want to come back to. Each subsequent trip through will have you doing the same things with the same sisters (and the mother and the maid too!), so it doesn’t even offer the different endings boasted by many of its contemporaries.
And it all happens so suddenly! The Hayami House -- the only setting in the game -- consists of seven rooms and three hallways used to enter these always unlocked doors, and as long as you click on a door with someone behind it, you can bet they'll find some way to have sex with you (classic examples include "I bet my body you can't beat me at arm wrestling" and "It's my job"). This is unless of course they are already occupied with another member of the household, at which point you'll peep for a while before usually being asked to join. Ken still has a conscious after banging everybody in the house by his second day there though, so of course he politely declines such invites.
Besides a theme that takes all stimulation out of the game (do they have to call you their brother? Couldn't you be the butler?), most of the time Ken will be wandering into empty rooms after getting no response from a knock, and then think to himself, "Gee golly I guess she's not here!" Ken then will proceed into other empty rooms until he finds a room where he can have sex or watch the other ladies of the house do the same.
This is the entire game.
I suppose it's to be expected that Ken will be a moody protagonist, what with the dead parents and the 'mixed-emotions' that are requisite to actually have an ending, so he fights off feelings of guilt and self-doubt throughout the adventure by talking to himself in his room after each encounter. Ken often contemplates, "Am I crazy for having sex with the woman who adopted me?" and "So what if she's only thirteen? She asked for it!" Don't delve too deeply into your psych though; it’s about this time the maid comes in and sucks you off.
Apparently, it's in the job description.
The adventure would be a short one without the usage of empty rooms to lengthen it about an hour (total playing time: one hour and ten minutes), but the artwork is actually decent, with vivid pictures of girls of perfect proportions and usually two or three of these photos per sex scene (and there are a lot of them). After you beat the game you can simply choose to view the photos from the gallery rather than put up with the nonsense story and mindless clicking, so feel free to come back to this game after you forgot what it was about and indulge yourself guilt-free.
Too bad you won't forget this one any time soon. Shocking! Offensive! Fucktastic! Fatal Relations, for all its beautiful girls and pictures of these girls degrading themselves, never quite overcomes the incest driven story, even if they aren't bound by blood. It just feels dirty. Ignore the ridiculous plot (impossible, especially after reading this review) and you've got a "wander around" hentai game with good artwork and bizarre scenarios, but otherwise you might want to sacrifice quality for the guiltlessness of not having sex with family members.
