Welcome to the wild and crazy world of Randxian's blog. Here I'll discuss anything from video games, work, sports, music, current events, or whatever I feel like at the moment.
So help yourself to some rum and coke. Then sit back, relax, and enjoy my entries. Some entries may be so mundane as to require extra amounts of rum.

I called MLB 09 The Show for PSP garbage on another forum, and some poster told me I needed to be more polite.
I didn't realize video game carts and discs had feelings. Maybe I should buy my copy of The Show a box of chocolates as a way of saying I'm sorry. Oh, I know! I could go to Jared!

Game of the Day: Not MLB The Show 09
Hey guys. Had some stuff come up in real life, so I doubt I'll have a review ready for the next contest. Sorry to let you down like this, but something came up and I have too much on my plate right now.
As a matter of fact, go ahead and assume I won't be around for my next ROTW, just in case.
Anyway, best of luck to you and to all those competing.
While browsing the site the other day, I noticed a review of a game called Hurry Up Hedgehog! under the "Looking for a Good Read?" box.
Emp lambasted other writers for making insane comparisons to that game and the Sonic franchise. After reading his review, I can see his point. I looked up some footage on YouTube because I was still curious about the game, and was saddened to see so many ignoramuses proclaiming the game is a cheap Sonic rip-off.
Emp explained that it's actually based on a German board game. He didn't provide the name in the review, but I found it's called Igel Argern, which supposedly translates to "Hedgehogs in a Hurry."
I wonder if we can take this a step further. Not only is Hurry up Hedgehog! for the DS not a rip-off of Sonic; I wager that's how Sega got the inspiration for the little blue fuzzball. Come to think of it, I've always secretely wondered why they chose a hedgehog as an animal that can blaze through areas like greased lightning. Who would equate hedgehogs to speed, except from this classic German board game? It has to be. It all fits perfectly.
