Welcome to my blog. My latest blog entry is right below, I have Dr. Pepper in the fridge, and you're not allowed to use the toilet down the hall. Go to bluberry's blog and use his instead.
Title: My first impressions of Metal Slug XX Posted: May 19, 2010 (10:11 PM)
Yes, I downloaded the 1200 MS Point Metal Slug XX (updated version of Metal Slug 7) off Xbox Live Arcade today...
-I decided to play on Hard on my first playthrough. Horrible mistake... At least there were infinity continues.
-The smooth filter makes the backgrounds look like crap.
-Platform jumping?! Edit: I meant pit jumping.
-Pit jumping is tough to do, because you don't know when to jump.
-Holey crap, the second ceiling flytrap section in mission 4 is cheap as hell.
-The hit detection is... suspicious. I keep getting killed when bullets hit the ground in front of me. I even got killed by a bullet in mid-crouch. In mid-crouch! That animation appears for a millisecond.
-I can't believe the sleds can kill you in mission 5...
-The new, red robot enemy is incredibly cheap with its knife stab reach.
-A time machine that attacks?
-The giant mech slug was kinda cool, but you are soooooooo open to many attacks.
-Drill Instructor Cynthia babbles on forever if you choose to talk to her.
-No one was in online multiplayer the two times I checked. :(
-First playthrough completion stats: 38 continues used and only 5 POWs rescued. Ouch.
Thought it was better than Metal Slug 6. Then again, that's not a hard feat to pull off.

Looks like the outline for an awesome review.

I thought about it, but I'm in the middle of starting another review. Might start one next week if I'm still playing it.
