Title: Well, yeah, I find this out after I get a HDTV...

And after I spent seven hours messing with it: my DirectTV Receiver doesn't support HDTV, which explained why the picture quality was horrible compared to my old TV that I had for over 10 years.

Screw it, I'm not charging extra for a HDTV Receiver, this TV is going back tomorrow...

Yeah, they don't tell you that when they advertise how great HDTV is, do they?

do you even watch that much TV? and how much extra is an HDTV receiver? I have cable and an HD box is like 6 bucks a month extra, totally worth it.

and your videogames will look tits on it.

TV's on almost all the time, but I really watch about 7 or 8 hours a week. I can deal with not having a HDTV for a little bit more, the only reason I bothered trying to get one is because the TV I have been using since 1998 looks like it's about to die out on me.

Mine looks tits, ass and pu-nani. I put out $1000 for a very nice 42" Sony Bravia and the moment I actually turned my PS3 on to play the demo for RE 5 I realized I would have undoubtedly payed twice as much for it.

If you're a big tv guy, then it's probably a wise idea to get either an HD receiver or to return the TV. If you got it strictly for video games like I did, I would hang on to it. It's fucking gorgeous with the right cable.
