almighty Fatness: hmm
almighty Fatness: eurogamer's top 50 games of the year was both awesome and dumb
almighty Fatness: portal was #1 and stalker was in the top ten.... but fucking halo 3 and bioshock were too.
almighty Fatness: and zelda: phantom hourglass
PickHut: ?
PickHut: portal doesn't deserve 1
PickHut: orange box makes more sense
almighty Fatness: haha
almighty Fatness: they didn't count that as a compilation
almighty Fatness: team fortress 2 got 9
almighty Fatness: and I haven't seen ep2 yet
PickHut: that's retarded
almighty Fatness: why?
almighty Fatness: portal rules.
PickHut: they just wanted more of the games on the list
almighty Fatness: uh... it's not one game.
almighty Fatness: it's a compilation.
almighty Fatness: XD
PickHut: it's a single release that contains 5 games
almighty Fatness: it's 5 games that got thrown together on the 360.
almighty Fatness: you can get portal, TF2, and all the HL2 stuff seperate on PC.
PickHut: but the orange box is its own game
almighty Fatness: ...it's 5 games.,
almighty Fatness: XD
PickHut: in a single release
almighty Fatness: right
almighty Fatness: but 5 actual games.
almighty Fatness: in a "top 50 games" list.
PickHut: contained in a single title
PickHut: it's a game that gives you the ability to let you play 5 games
almighty Fatness: it's a compilation that gives you the ability to play 5 games
PickHut: it's its own game, basically
PickHut: yeah
PickHut: thanks
almighty Fatness: so when you see a movie double-pack in the store or something
almighty Fatness: that's one movie?
PickHut: yeah
PickHut: wait
PickHut: are the dvds in the same case?
almighty Fatness: yeah
PickHut: it's its own release
almighty Fatness: like let's say there's a commando/predator two-pack
almighty Fatness: commando/predator is one of your top movies of the year, as opposed to both commando and predator?
PickHut: I can mention all three titles
almighty Fatness: >_>
almighty Fatness: i like how we're actually arguing over this

Halo 3 owns. Boo only dislikes it because the ally AI always rebels against him.

I ordered Bioshock online on December 17th. Still not recieved.

As much as it pains me to, I agree on Boo on the argument of Portal & co's elegibility.

EDIT: Phantom Hourglass made it? What the hell!

Go to a lot of places on the Internet that aren't HonestGamers and you'll find that Phantom Hourglass is extremely highly regarded. This site is one of the only places I know of online where Phantom Hourglass and other Nintendo releases are met with such concentrated pockets of hostility and loathing.

As for a top 50 list, each title that is available in the compilation but was released in its own retail box during 2007 would have to be eligible for the top 50 list, in addition to The Orange Box itself (which is a unique SKU). Though personally, I tend not to pay much attention to compilations when making lists like that. Now, putting Half-Life 2 on the list of best games released in 2007... that would be a problem.

Halo 3 is only popular and well-liked because of the 'net play, EmP, and you know it. the campaign ranges from poor to good with dumb ally AI every step of the way.

I love the game and have ventered online all of twice.

Face it: this is a classic case of "I'm not very good at it, so it therefore sucks!" Ala EmP and On The Rails.

Again, the AI simply hates you. I don't blame it. You probably nag it to play Half Life daily.

Halo 3's campaign, unlike the first 2 Halos, consistently rocks. Portal rocks, too, but not enough to be #1.

"...and have ventered online all of twice."

Did you mean "ventured," or did you just invent a new verb?

I'd like to turn it into a dig and say that ventered was meaning I played poorly. But who am I kidding? I mopped up.

Later on, I'm going to go beat Phantom on DMC on my first go just to distance myself from this.

I'm rad at single-player Halo. filthy lies.

and wait, the first two levels, floodgate, and the last two levels rock? this is news to me. though the huge epic two hour long levels were admittedly really fucking good.
