Title: 100th review

Warrior of Rome II

And it's for a bad game, go figure.

Super Duper Paper Extra Cut Material Corner:

There was a mini-story in the original version of the review I cut out because it was really just filler stuff. Here it is:

"As hard as it was, I tried to stay optimistic at this point and proceeded on with the game. Seconds later, I started a mission... and was lost. Nothing made sense, the majority of the command windows had words like Gsqqerhw333333 and Ehzergi3yrmx333. After going through the manual and looking at the images in the back of the box, I realized what was wrong... I bought a screwed up copy of the game. It was like the 0666 incident times a bijillion.

So, after being able to play a workable version of the game by other means... I finally had the opportunity to test out WoRII.
It was a pain in the butt to play."

I demand an amended version of this review with that passage in there. A review is supposed to make someone want to buy/not buy something, and the more you tell, the more you make someone want to buy/not buy something. I can safely say I've never bought a game after reading two paragraphs about how TOTALLY AWESOME the PLAY-CONTROL is. I HAVE however, purchased a game after reading about all that there is to see and do, even beyond what the developers intended (ex: Animal Crossing Wild World).

So you know, yeah, you should really put that back in.

0666 incident?

While I did find it to be an amusing piece, the review overall flows much better without it. Still like it, though, which is why I decided to post it in this entry.

As for the 0666 incident, it's something I talked about in my Warrior of Rome review. It was a glitch that sometimes occurs when you're playing the third stage. When the timer reaches 0666, the game would sometimes freeze up, forcing you to reset the game. It's a horrible glitch, because it happens late in the stage, usually about an hour into it.
