I got Sonic the Hedgehog for the 360 today. Haven't played it yet, so I'm gonna make some predictions on what I might expect:

-Singing (gah)
-Not so many traditional Sonic stages
-Shadow riding a motorcycle
-The new, white hedgehog acting stupid
-Silly plot
-Annoying characters

Now to see how many I got right.

At least half, I would wager.

Why'd you pick it up, anyway? Word on the street isn't good.

Hadn't played a new Sonic game since SA2, figured I'd try it out. Anyway, I've played quite a bit so far and:

-Singing: none so far, good. Music is pretty good.
-Not so many traditional Sonic stages: they're there, but...
-Shadow riding a motorcycle: not yet
-The new, white hedgehog acting stupid: yup
-Silly plot: so far, yeah
-Annoying characters: kinda

And as for the game..... so far, it feels like a bad attempt at remaking Sonic Adventure.

I think I might give this one a miss.

I decided to get this as my first 360 game, and now I'm beginning to regret that decision.

The load times are almost game-breaking. The camera 'control' is weak sauce. The levels are more frustrating than fun, especially with the lackluster controls. Lots of framerate dipping. Also, the game seems to promote beastiality. >_>

On the plus side, Silver isn't as bad as I thought he was going to be, and the graphics are nice. I kind of dig the return of 'Adventure Fields', although they really should have implemented a better map.

In conclusion, I hate Sonic Team now.
