Just don't. |
The game came out today, so I was curious. I just got through the first five stages and it's a complete joke. The gameplay is absolutely flat and it feels like this was made over one weekend. It feels like a cash grab that plays on people's nostalgia. I'll probably add more after I beat the game.
Edit: I just noticed if you walk all the way to the bottom of the screen, no one can hit you. This is a damn trainwreck.
Edit 2: NO, SERIOUSLY. YOU NEED TO SEE THIS.
Edit 3: I thought maybe it was something overlooked in one stage, but it's happening in EVERY stage. Who tested this game? Even if this was fixed, the overpowering special moves destroys any semblance of challenge. I'd rather play the horrendous NES version of Double Dragon III than this.
Edit 4: Oh, look, the maze from Renegade. Let's bring that back. People loved that.
Edit 5: Well, that was terrible. This game isn't balanced at all. It's broken on so many levels that I can't understand why it was released in the state it's in except for $$$.

JoeTheDestroyer - January 30, 2017 (06:53 PM) I wasn't going to, but now I'm definitely not touching it. |

honestgamer - January 30, 2017 (07:25 PM) I requested a review key before I saw your post, pickhut. You didn't post in time! But if the PR group does send me that key, I'll give the game a fair shot (as always) before I review it. Maybe I'll even like it! |

dementedhut - January 30, 2017 (07:54 PM) I'm still contemplating if I want to review this myself. If I do, it would be interesting to read about a different opinion of the game! |
