Maybe I'm blind, but in a movie with a theme of diversity... I only saw one black guy. And he's the first mutant to die, too. You didn't even get to see his full death, since it cuts away when he was about to explode. I thought, "Well, okay, this is a PG-13 movie", until I remembered people were being teleported into the sky and dropped to their deaths a few minutes earlier. And later, you see the second mutant death, where Magneto plows a coin through Kevin Bacon's head, the entire segment, up close, in slow motion.

That last paragraph sounded like it was making a point, but I just wanted an excuse to write down moments from the movie. Like how Hugh Jackman had a hilarious cameo, or how really hot Rose Byrne was and how I almost freaked out when I thought Magneto was about to kill her at the end. The ending credits sequence had cool visual effects going on.

I also thought it was hilarious how hammy the villains were in the movie. Like when Kevin Bacon was chilling in the luxury section of his FUCKING SUBMARINE, complete with couch, drinks, and tv. And it was hard taking Kevin Bacon seriously whenever he wore the "Magneto helmet". Then again, it didn't look like he took himself serious with it, so I guess the hammy aspect was intentional.

The whole movie, really, felt like if James Bond was replaced by a bunch of freaks to stop a stereotypical rich bastard villain.

In closing, this is a shitty, disjointed summary of the movie, but sometimes you need to say stuff and there's no place to say it at 3 in the morning.
