I gave Art of Fighting 2 a 9 star (changed). x_X
I need to be more careful when I click to see the ratings for a game.
Anyway, to put more beef into this blog entry, I'll give some impressions of the games I've recently took shots for:
-Ninja Clowns: Stupid beat em up that's really on the easy side. It tries to be funny, too, but ends up being more creepy. Clowns pop out of the ground, a giant hen attacks by shooting eggs out of her rear, and you lose health if a prostitute puts her hands down your clown pants. There's also a spider boss that turns into a bag of popcorn once you defeat it. The developers were pretty lazy with the backgrounds, since the street backdrop gets used three times.
-Gradius III: This series' entire gimmick is broken. What's the point of giving us an option system if we can't even use variations with success? We're forced to use specific setups in order to survive. Doesn't help that 3 is a shit hard game.
-Salamader 2: Another game from the Gradius series, it's also a hard game, but it's more approachable. It doesn't punish you as hard as 3, and to help, you actually get the option to start from where you were last killed. I wouldn't call it a great shoot em up, but it's a nice time-waster.
-Cotton: Biggest issue with this shoot em up is that it sends you back to the start of a level after using two or three continues. What's up with that? At least it didn't pull a Contra, that much I can say... Other than that, it's a cute shoot em up where you control a witch.
-Fatal Fury 2: This is a game that you MUST play with another person. If you play this against the computer, you will get pissed. The AI is annoyingly brutal, at times predicting what you're going to do next before you even do it, and it gets it right most of the time! It's almost like the developers made the AI in a way to mimic your actions, if that makes any sense.

Suskie - April 29, 2010 (07:48 PM) That happened to me once -- I wanted to look at the ratings for Oni and accidentally gave it a 9. Then I adjusted it to a 6 because that sounded better. Someone should ask Jason why there's no option to delete ratings. You do it. |

If you have left a rating for a game in error or if you just no longer want your rating to display, click the 'D' that will appear in brackets next to your current rating when logged into your account. You'll be taken to the game profile page (as when you rate a game) and will find that the unwanted rating has been deleted. |
