A few days ago, I got bored, so I finally decided to download the original Half-Life off of Steam. Beat it yesterday, and it was pretty enjoyable. Though, the final few chapters had a lot of platform jumping that almost destroyed my left hand using the default button layout. Blu said months ago that I'll get used to the keyboard/mouse layout when I was playing another PC game then, but it's still annoying the crap out of me. Love the mouse for aiming and shooting, but the keyboard... ack.

At the moment, I figure I would dive into Deus Ex again, from the start. I downloaded the game off of Steam 2 months ago, but I stopped playing after falling off a tall roof and into an alley full of angry dogs. I was playing a bunch of other games at the time, too, so I had to let something go. Now that I have nothing right now, I might be able to get further this time.

There's more to Half Life after On A Rail?

Who knew?

Actually, I gave up during On A Rail and imagined the rest.

That last set of levels is the only place the game kinda dies. The programming even gets ahead of itself. I've found more game breaking glitches in the boss fights at the end of the game (the spider thing and the Nihalanth in particular) than I have in the entire rest of the HL series.

Opposing Force is on sale for 99 cents on Steam. it's worth it if you liked HL1.

Blue Shift is too. but it's not really worth it.
