Scroll down to number 4 and 9.

I'm also in the process of buying IGN, Gamespot, and Burger King.

Who knew jumping from building to building like The Tick and shooting up a bunch of thugs like Robocop would be this entertaining?

Title: About damn time

They finally included the option to watch embeded YouTube videos in high quality. The lack of that option made it hard for some of my videos to watch on HG with the blurry/choppiness.

The Office

I played six PC games in the last 4 weeks, and out of all of those, I pick this to review. Obviously.

Couldn't find a decent looking shot of the box art, or you wouldn't be seeing that HG box at the moment.

Edit: Thanks, to whoever found one.

Too bad there wasn't a fourth ending that allowed you to kill everyone that kept nagging you during the final moments.

Title: Completed Opposing Force
Posted: December 30, 2008 (04:11 PM)
Getting through that glitch with noclip wasn't as easy as I thought it would. The problem was that the portal that Gordan supposedly jumps into was the reason why the game kept freezing every time I opened the door. I couldn't stare in its direction, which means I had to walk through the door backwards. What made this situation worse for me was that I was playing this for the first time, so I didn't know you weren't suppose to jump through Gordon's portal, which teleported me to nowhere.

After about 30 or so minutes of restarting thanks to the portal making my game freeze, I finally figured out that I was suppose to go through a different portal. I thought my worries were over when I went through it... only to realize I was yet again teleported to a place I wasn't suppose to be. I forgot I wasn't suppose to be touching or moving my keyboard/mouse when I went through it, due to noclip being on. So, after that little blunder, I made it to Xen the right way, got rid of noclip and sv_cheats, saved the game, restarted, and I was able to play the rest of the game without any other glitches occurring.

On the bright side, I got to see what Freeman looked like up close. It's sad that he looks better in HL1 than he does in HL2...

Title: Good thing I only got Opposing Force for 99 cents
Posted: December 28, 2008 (11:38 AM)
Because I can't beat the game. Every time I enter the "We're Not Alone" chapter, the game freezes up when I try to open up the first door I see. I keep going back to earlier saved games to see if maybe it was a problem with the current autosave that happens a second before this problem, but the same thing happens every time. I could start a new game and play all the way back to where I'm stuck, but I'm not in the mood to replay the game for 2 hours right away...

Edit: I did some quick snooping around the web and found that I'm not the only one experiencing this problem. Apparently, the last Half-Life update screwed up Opposing Force.

Title: PC Gaming Progress
Posted: December 22, 2008 (04:01 PM)
A few days ago, I got bored, so I finally decided to download the original Half-Life off of Steam. Beat it yesterday, and it was pretty enjoyable. Though, the final few chapters had a lot of platform jumping that almost destroyed my left hand using the default button layout. Blu said months ago that I'll get used to the keyboard/mouse layout when I was playing another PC game then, but it's still annoying the crap out of me. Love the mouse for aiming and shooting, but the keyboard... ack.

At the moment, I figure I would dive into Deus Ex again, from the start. I downloaded the game off of Steam 2 months ago, but I stopped playing after falling off a tall roof and into an alley full of angry dogs. I was playing a bunch of other games at the time, too, so I had to let something go. Now that I have nothing right now, I might be able to get further this time.

Title: Man, I've read about there being differences between versions of Sonic Unleashed
Posted: December 09, 2008 (09:28 AM)
But actually seeing the differences is a different story:

Rooftop Run - 360 version

Rooftop Run - Wii version

Title: You know, you probably would have seen a Sonic Unleashed review from me by now...
Posted: December 06, 2008 (02:52 PM)
But I'm still playing the damn game. I figured I would have been done with it after a week. Imagine my surprise two and a half weeks later...

I'll just say this for now: it's a hell of an improvement over Sonic '06. Though, if you happen to be a PS2/Wii owner, I can't comment on those versions, since they were made by another developer, and I've heard that the PS2/Wii and 360/PS3 versions are quite different.

Curse words. Lots and lots of curse words.

Delightful examples:

"What the fuck is wrong with this game?"

"Fuck this Egyptian level."

"Fucking car just has to be RIGHT there as I'm turning."

"Of course the fucking car has to stop in front of the fucking finish line. Obviously."

Title: Meh, guess I'm gonna use video game music from now on.
Posted: November 20, 2008 (05:23 AM)
Just noticed my Very Manly Men video, which has been up for months, has been blocked from being viewed because YouTube just now detected that a YMCA song was being used in it.

This was actually the second time YouTube "detected" a song in one of my videos, but the first one was actually allowed continued viewing. But I took it down anyway, because I was annoyed by the giant ad they slapped on the video page. Meh, guess it's video game music from now on.

Title: Either I suck at Gears of War 2
Posted: November 10, 2008 (08:13 PM)
or the beginning of Rolling Thunder was actually pretty terrible. Whoever thought it was a brilliant idea to have the turret have a cool-down period while you're preventing your ride from being destroyed by constant enemy attacks should be shot.

Dead or Alive Xtreme 2

I seriously think I need to start taking some sleeping pills or cough medicine, because I just can't seem to fall asleep. For a month now, I'm been falling asleep around 6/7 in the morning, and waking up at 3/4 in the afternoon. I hardly see the sun anymore.

Title: Portal: Still Alive = Valve ripping off Xbox 360 users.
Posted: October 18, 2008 (06:50 PM)
Since this title is coming out next week as a download, I figured I would do some research on it. Now, I knew for some time that it was an "expansion" of the original Portal game, but through info searching, I found out exactly what kind of "expansion" it was.

Portal: Still Alive is the original Portal game, plus new achievements and levels for 1200 MS Points. That's right, if you bought The Orange Box, you'll be buying Portal for the second time. But the extra levels would be worth it, right? No, no, no, no, no, no... no. Turns out, the extra levels are actually 3D versions of a free, fan-made, 2D, flash Portal tribute.

Still, you could probably make the argument that they're 3D versions, which justify the cost. If you thought that, you might want to know there's already a free, fan-made, 3D version made by the same people who made the flash version, and contains all 40 levels.

Yeah, what the hell, Valve.
