Filler review. I didn't wanna wait to do my next actual review, so I reviewed this game. Turned out nice.

All they need to do now is come out with a sequel called Sexy Dynamite. Sega will forever win at life if that actually happens.

Title: RAAM (GoW) on Insane is a pain in the ass.
Posted: January 19, 2007 (03:13 AM)
I think my IM posts will do a better job of describing how I felt fighting him:

PickHut: Fuck RAAM, fuck his mother, fuck his children, fuck his army, and fuck his birds.
blu: fuck rage against anal machines
PickHut: I just spen an hour trying to kill him in insane mode
PickHut: fuck him

Anyway, after about almost two hours of dying, I finally got him with an INSANELY lucky blind shot as he walked towards me. It felt so good defeating him that I sat around for the following cutscene again.

Whew, now I can concentrate on finishing the rest of Lost Planet.

Title: Happy New Year! + Colossal Blog Entry
Posted: January 01, 2007 (02:08 PM)
Latest review: Sonic Heroes

I'm surprised how good this game turned out. I thought it was really gonna suck.

2006 Reviews (lol now itz mai tern)

bluberry said he would kill me if I gave this game a rating below a 7.

The Legend of Oasis

Even though I haven't played Beyond Oasis in years, I still think it's better than this sequel.

Best single-player, first-person shooter of 2006. Also liked how the review turned out.

The Outfit

Could have been a fun, action game *sigh*. Nice review.

Condemned: Criminal Origins

Despite some of its shortcomings (the investigation parts sort of sucked), I thought it was a good survival-horror game. What really made it work was the sound, you would hear all kinds of weird stuff... normally coming from behind you.

OutRun 2006 Coast 2 Coast

Fun arcade racer. The reason that the review is so short is because I was trying to do the opposite of my embarrassingly long OutRun2 review, and seeing if I was still able to mention a lot of stuff in the process.

Hitman: Blood Money

Come on, how can you not love a game where you play a badass assassin in a suit that can kill someone without anybody knowing AT all. Fun stuff here.

Super Castlevania IV

As you can tell, I didn't take this review very seriously. Strangely, I like this review. It has this odd quality to it.

Pretty standard review, nothing special. The game really does suck, however.

1942 - 1943: The Battle of Midway - 1943 Kai: Midway Kaisen - 1941: Counter Attack - 19XX: The War Against Destiny - 1944: The Loop Master

This was for the Alpha contest. I was originally just gonna review the first three games in the series, but then I thought it would be interesting to see if I could review the entire series before the deadline. Amazingly, I did. And I picked 1944 for the contest because it came out as the best of the bunch.

Dead Rising

I'm disappointed with how this review turned out. It's not a bad review, but it was NOTHING like how I originally wanted it to be. It was a completely different review. I'll probably do another one someday.

MotoGP 2006

Standard review. The game is really not that bad, just don't expect something that'll revolutionize its genre. The crashes in this game are really fun to watch, you can just FEEL the pain.

Sonic Mega Collection Plus

Yeah, I just slapped this review together really quick. Still like the review, though, since I set out to explain why it's not that great a title.

Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 1

I basically wrote this review to coincide with the release of Vol. 2. Review turned out nicely, though.

Sonic the Hedgehog

Gah, just.... gah. The game, not the review. Also, I changed the rating from a 6 to a 5 a day ago, just in case you haven't noticed.

Ninety-Nine Nights

Last review of 2006, and I liked the way it turned out. Nothing special, honestly, but it's satisfying. Good, mindless manly brawler. blu played it a few days ago and hated it, though. XD

And finally, it's January, and you know what that means.....

Jack Bauer is going to blow up China.

Title: Played Sonic Heroes for the first time tonight
Posted: December 24, 2006 (11:58 PM)
I'm surprised, it's actually a pretty nice game from what I've played so far. Even if for some odd reason it starts sucking later on, it's already better than Sonic 360 (hell, I came to that conclusion while playing the first stage). Though, the current stage I'm on right now, Bullet Station, is starting to tick me off with its little problems. That, and some of the boss fights can get on your nerves.

Okay, I don't know what this game is about, but from the three pictures I've seen, it has:

1: a samurai, bikini-wearing, Japanese cowgirl
2: zombies
3: and a sword-wielding girl in a skimpy school uniform

Instant win. If this game doesn't come to the US, ninjas will cry.

Edit: apparently, this is actually the 3rd or 4th game in a series of games that never came to the US. Bah.

Title: Actually played N3 for the first time since I bought it two months ago...
Posted: December 01, 2006 (01:28 AM)
I was doing fine until I hit the Pholya Flatlands. Man, I dunno if it was because I wasn't used to everything or not yet, but that battle was really a struggle. It started out simple, with only some weak "infantry" units, but it just got disturbing afterwards. Once you defeat those little guys, you'll have to take on this giant group with these giant orges and soldiers that gives out major damage. Halfway through that battle, a bunch of lizard people pop out of nowhere from behind. To make matters worse, a whole different species appears minutes later with dragons. If you manage to survive all of that, you'll have to take out ANOTHER group with two bosses. Geez, it took me at least an hour to complete that mission (the actual battle itself only lasts about 20 minutes), I hope they give me a break in the next mission...

Sonic the Hedgehog

I'm surprised it came out THAT long. Though I didn't get a chance to address a couple more problems (most of them were tiny, anyway), I was able to point out the bigger ones.

And I just found out Play gave the game a 9.5/10...... what the hell are they smoking?

Title: That's messed up... (Sonic 360 spoilers)
Posted: November 19, 2006 (08:20 PM)
Towards the end of Sonic's storyline, I had to take these three tests before I would be able to enter the castle stage. The final test was about a test of love. The guy said something about having to leave something/someone behind in order to move forward or something like that, and the test begun. The test required you to choose one of two people: Princess Elise that's standing to the left and Amy, who's standing to the right. I wanted to choose Amy, since, you know, he knew her a hell of a lot longer, but I knew I had to pick Elise to advance the game. I picked Elise, and I passed the test. That's fucked up. You're telling me you're in love with this girl who you've probably known for maybe two days (maybe even less than 24 hours), over Amy? Damn, Sonic, that's cold. Hilarious, but cold.

Slight update: apparently you can pick Amy and still pass. Oops. Ah, well.

Also, I decided to give Sonic's first few stages a second chance in the time trials, and they're not as bad as I originally thought. There's still some pretty stupid problems, but not as terrible as I thought. Guess I'll start Shadow's storyline now, because I wanna see him on that motorcycle.

I got Sonic the Hedgehog for the 360 today. Haven't played it yet, so I'm gonna make some predictions on what I might expect:

-Singing (gah)
-Not so many traditional Sonic stages
-Shadow riding a motorcycle
-The new, white hedgehog acting stupid
-Silly plot
-Annoying characters

Now to see how many I got right.

I thought I was just gonna get Gears of War today, but a little later in the day, I found out the new Transformers Movie DVD came out. Geez, good thing I didn't get that 40 Years of X-Men Collector's Edition, I would have ended up spending a shit load of money in one day.

Title: Happy Turkey Month!

So, I was playing Sonic 3 last night for the first time in AGES, and when I got to the carnival zone.... hip-hop-ish music starts playing. I can't believe I forgot about that. Seriously, how do you forget about something like that?

I guess I was trying to block out all those times I tried getting underneath that stupid bouncing, rotating.... whatever the hell it is. Back when the game first came out, the method I used getting by that part was putting Tails on the thing (using the second controller), and placing Sonic to the side. I then had Tails jump up and down on the thing, and when the opening was big enough, I had Sonic spin through it.

It almost makes me cry knowing now that all I had to do was press up and down on the thing. What the fuck, Yuji Naka.

I've owned Ninety-Nine Nights for 30 days now, and the only time I actually played it was on the first day. And I only played the tutorial mode. Funny, it was one of the 360 games I was really looking forward to, yet, I always end up ignoring it when I wanna play something. I'm currently playing Hitman: Blood Money now (I'm actually bothering trying to get Silent Assassin ratings now that they're achievements), and with November right around the corner (Gears of War, Sonic etc), I doubt I'll play it until at least the middle of December. Ah well.

In other news, I just might get Snoopy vs. the Red Baron whether it sucks or not because of this.

So, I watched Night of the Living Dead tonight, and some people must be on crack. From the various reviews, plot summaries, and so on that I've read about on the movie, Barbara is usually mentioned as the heroine....... What? She panics for the whole movie, and when she actually did something for two seconds towards the end of the film, she dies.

Seriously, heroine?
